We loved the location of the property, it was centered right in the city and walking distance to most everything. We also loved how there was a washing machine. HOWEVER, we lost water one night and did not hear back from property owners until next day. We also went without A/C our entire stay. This was a big plus when searching for a unit, and the owners did not follow up on our concerns about this. They did send someone out, but he basically said he couldn't do anything about it. We were just left on read with communication. Very disappointing.
Stayed at this apartment 3/1/2024 - 3/13/2024 and 3/20/2024 - 3/24/2024. The location cannot be beat!!! Close to stores, restaurants, tram and bus stops and places of interest to visit. The location was so premium we could do one visit then come back to the apartment for a rest then go back out for another outing. However, a downside to being in the middle of everything is the noise. The window shutters did not eliminate much noise. The noise didn't bother us much but people sensitive to noise would have a hard time at this apartment. The amenities including the elevator, washer/dryer and wifi were valuable assets for our extended stay. We did have problems with the wifi and washer/dryer. The wifi was out for four days, management was slow to respond and kept telling us to try other wifi addresses that didn't work. This was critical since I was only using wifi for my phone and we couldn't use Netflex at night. Turns out there is no router in the apartment. It is in a different apartment and there is an extender in this apartment. It went out three times during our stay. It had to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it running again. We also had a difficult time with the washer, asked for help but found it more timely to find the manual online and figure it out ourselves. The instruction manual for guests does not provide any help on these issues and frankly is useless. The manual for guests needs to be improved so problems don't impact a guest's stay.
The property comprised two comfortable bedrooms, a small but adequate bathroom and a large and very comfortable open plan lounge/kitchen diner. The property was ideal for a young family of four like us on a 6-day mini-break, but the property was needlessly let down by the following: a dishwasher that leaked the first night and despite the property manager arranging for a repair visit the next day there was no apparent repair visit and no reply to my follow up enquiry; the poor range and condition of the IKEA crockery and glassware. I donât expect Royal Doulton in a rental property but there was 1 uncracked wine glass, 4 uncracked mugs, 3 or 4 chipped bowls, only 1 cutting knife (a bread knife), an orange/lemon squeezer and a hand blender but no corkscrew/bottle opener; many of the bathroom fixtures were loose and the bathroom door knob came off in my hand. The property just needs a bit of decent maintenance and kitchenware to accommodate the propertyâs target customers and it would do the rest of the property justice.
