Come nest with the wrens! In this cozy cabin. High definition TV in bedroom and living room. Lots of wood and glass, massive stone fireplace. Wood not provided but available for sale. Minimum delivery $65 for a 2 night supply. Fully equipped kitchen. Hot tub located on deck with great view of the mountains. Located minutes from the village of Little Switzerland. Gem mining, horseback riding, water falls, hiking, golf and shopping all nearby.

Minimum age 12 years old. Pets Are not allowed. Discounted Payment options include payment by Venmo or personnel check. Contact for payment details search rickgonsorrentals. During the holidays weeks including Thanksgiving Christmas, New Years and month of October minimum stay is 4 nights unless their is a late cancellation. Check availability calendar for openings.

When my husband and I first located this Cabin on Vrbo, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Rick Gonsor is the most thoughtful, gracious host.He provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around. The cabin was just perfect! The kitchen contained everything we needed.The bed was so comfortable, bathroom and deck were excellent. Location and views were incredible.Rick had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. He went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable. The Switzerland Cafe was amazing, and the filet was my personal favorite. Thanks Rick and The Perch for the most romantic and wonderful weekend!We will be back, Stephanie & Chris

The structure is leaning down hill. He has gas heat and no carbon monoxide detectors. No smoke alarm. No fire extinguisher. We left one day early due to these concerns.We could have died in that place.Also the cobwebs and dust was very heavy. Particularly on the shades.

Rick was very friendly and informative and met us close to the cabin so we could follow him there and he could show us around. This cabin is hands down one of the best views you’ll find! The view was amazing, it’s a private and quiet location not far from food and a cute general store, coffee shop/bookstore and only an hour from grandfather mountain and other attractions. We spent our honeymoon here and loved every second of it, and absolutely plan to be back!

The view from the cabin is amazing. We came to unwind and relax and were not disappointed! The chairs on the porch were very comfortable and we spend most of our time outside. The hot tub was a great place to star gaze at night. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook on the grill every night. We did venture out to sight see on the parkway and to grandfather mountain. Other reviews were concerned with parking, but we had a full size truck and had no issues. Communication with the host was great! Will definitely recommend!

Cabin and property was in a very beautiful location with stunning mountain views. Convenient to restaurants and shops. The host was very nice and made sure we had all the information we needed. Gorgeous view

The cabin was so cozy and had a stunning view. Pictures of the view in this listing do not do it justice. The hot tub was ready to go when we got there and sat at the edge of the back porch over looking the mountains. Rick was great with communication and even left us a bottle of wine! If you are looking for a cozy getaway I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great Cabin Unsurpassed View

The cabin is just right for 2 people who want a relaxing trip to the mountains Very clean, well equipped. Hot Tub. Exceptional views!Property manager is very attentive to your needs. Its on a gravel one lane mountain road but i had no issue even with my Corvette.

Amazing View

The cabin is just a few inches from the road with minimal space to park or explore the property grounds, as it's literally built on the edge of the mountain. Be prepared to learn how to get there, because the GPS won't work very well on the area. Communication with the host was efficient and allowed us to accommodate our trip needs with no hassle; the bottle of wine was a nice detail. My advice is to skip your next trip to Little Switzerland, for now, because no businesses or attractions are open due to damage from the last hurricane. It's a shame because the cabin has an amazing view, but the street conditions and the lack of activities in Little Switzerland is discouraging. Nevertheless, we drove to other towns and enjoyed our vacation.

Spectacular Mountain View

Our stay at The Perch Cabin was absolutely exceptional! The property was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host, was incredibly responsive to our inquiries and provided fantastic local recommendations, making our experience even more enjoyable. We especially loved the cozy fireplace and stunning 75 mile mountain view. The 103F hot tub was therapeutic.

Renter very kind. Showed me around the cabin. Lots of privacy. Close commute to hospital. Only downside was that there was no internet access during my stay because att working on lines. We as able to use phone as hotspot for access.

The View

Rick was an absolute pleasure. The rental was just what we were looking for and the view... words cannot express how absolutely stunning it was! Fantastic view

My husband and I really enjoyed our week long stay at the Perch Cabin. The cabin was clean and had all the things we needed to make our stay comfortable. The best part of our week was enjoying our coffee on the deck in the mornings and dinner every evening because the view is the best around and truly amazing. The hot tub was very clean and obviously well maintained not to mention it was a great way to recuperate after our days hiking. Thank you to Rick for great communication and recommendations for local excursions.

Very comfortable stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It was a quick 15ish min walk to the bookstore/restaurant/general store. Close to Crabtree falls, gem mining and other restaurants. The hot tub was amazing and views were incredible. We even saw the brown mountain lights from the hot tub! The best was almost too comfortable, as we slept in too late every day. I thought the house would feel too small but it didn’t at all. I would highly recommend this rental!
