On the plus side, the room was cheap, the curtains were pretty effective, and the hot water worked. The room also had a microwave oven, and a decent sized fridge. There was a power outlet and a bedside table by the bed, convenient for charging a cell phone, and the bed itself was tolerably comfortable.
On the minus side:
- There was only one light in the room; the switch was beside the door, and the light itself was beside the bathroom sink area at the back of the room, so it would have been ineffective if I wanted tom e.g. read in bed, and annoying to turn off if I was in bed. There was another light fixture beside the bed, with no obvious way to turn it on.
- The a/c unit did not work. No heating, no cooling.
- The bedclothes were quite thin, and there was no spare blanket in the room.
- There was also no trash can in the room.
- The bed, while not the worst motel bed I've ever slept in, was extremely creaky.
