Very nice apartment in historic district

Nice enough apartment within easy reach of the walls. However the apartment being on the middle floor suffered noise from neighbours above and workshop below. Noises from 5/5.30am. I guess this is to be expected from an historic building. Apartment is spacious and well equipped for two people. Nice balcony area but looks onto neighbouring roof! We feel the apartment would benefit from a refresh, however, we did enjoy our time there. Not too far from the station for visit to Pisa. Lovely restaurant across the road from the apartment - would recommend.

The property was excellent. Clean, comfortable beds, great showers. The location was superb! All food stores and shop are within walking distance as well as the walled City of Lucca. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Smells

As soon as we entered the strong musty smell hit us. I even asked the owner what the smell was and she said they just did laundry. However, the smell was throughout the apartment. I was getting a bad headache within the hour because of the smell. Also, the pictures of the living area is not what was in the room. The couches were covered with a red blanket like material. Not appealing at all.

Nachdem wir den Flur gesehen haben , haben wir Angst gehabt in die Wohnung zu kommen. Als wir drin waren waren wir positiv ĂŒberrascht. Wohnung hatte alles was man benötigt und war sauber. Der Flur zur Wohnung ist einfach nur grotte

Great parking good position excellent local shops

The dishwasher did not work. Laundry very tight. The host seemed to know nothing about the property and was uninterested. Sitting area was tight. There was one sofa only, no footstools, no arm chair so not easy to relax at the end of a long day walking. Verandah was great, luckily. Could be an excellent base with a bit more effort and generosity of furniture.

Great stay

This was a great place to stay and a great location. All of the locals are very kind. Chiara was very responsive and helpful. Location is easy walking distance from the walls of Lucca. It was nice to have a kitchen to cook for a couple of meals and a washing machine to clean our clothes. We would definitely come back here.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Wohnung in Gehweite zum Zentrum

Wir waren zu viert (nur Erwachsene) fĂŒr eine Woche in dieser Wohnung. Sie liegt sehr ruhig abseits der Verkehrsstraße. Zu Fuß sind es bis zum Innenstadtrand zehn, zum Bahnhof etwa 25 Minuten. LebensmittelgeschĂ€fte und Trattorien gibt es in der NĂ€he. Die Wohnung ist gut eingerichtet. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit sicherem Parkplatz fĂŒrs Auto.

Almost perfect!

This property is situated outside the walls, but just a short walk into the Centro Storico. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable, but here are a couple of things that could use improvement, in my opinion. First, there was only one set of keys for two couples, which meant we had to be together at all times, or someone had to remain home to let the others in. Inconvenient. Second. The old, soiled sweat stained pillows in the bedrooms need to be replaced. It would be nice if an extra pillowcase could be provided in case you wanted an extra pillow. Third. It would be nice if you could provide a clean sponge in the kitchen. I had no idea what was being wiped up with the very old one that was there. I don't mean to nit pick, but this last two things were a real turn off. Four. With a large parking area, it would have been nice to be able to park our two cars nearby, rather than one a ten minute walk away, parked on the street. In general, we loved our stay in Lucca and at this apartment, but it just fell short of being excellent.

Familienurlaub

Die Wohnung ist genauso toll wie auf den Fotos. Die Terrasse ist recht großzĂŒgig, aber leider ohne Aussicht. Die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt, um Lucca zu Fuß zu erkunden und aufgrund des Parkplatzmangels ist der Privatparkplatz perfekt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen und Maria Pia hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen.

Patio/terrace was wonderful for hot days

Renting arrangements and handover excellent; internet connection problem fixed promptly by a technician. Lots of useful local information. Good parking on site (mixed properties including businesses and derelict buildings) but easy 10 minute walk past huge mix of local shops to the city walls. Bit disappointed only 3 seater settee for 4 people and very dark and gloomy but were able to spend most time, including eating, outside although chairs and tables have seen better days, and could do with more cutlery. Bathrooms and bedrooms ok but towels rather thin. Overall had a great time.

Apartment in residential block. Early morning noise heard but then quiet rest of day and night. Good shops and some restaurants in street. Bus station closest but good walk to train station from apartment. Lovely terrace to sit in and enjoy the sun which really made this apartment a good choice.

A very nice and well-appointed apartment in Lucca!!!

The apartment on Via Borgo Gianotti was a great place to have as our base during 6 day stay in Lucca. Although it wasn’t within the walled city, it was just a short walk into the city through a pleasant neighborhood with nice cafes, shops, and restaurants. A major supermarket was located about a 12 to 15 minute walk from the apartment. There was even a hardware store that we were able to take advantage of during our stay. The apartment itself had all of the amenities that we needed. It was very clean, homey, and well decorated. The location was great and very peaceful and quiet. It had a nice kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a very nice covered patio where we had coffee in the morning and vino at night! The living room area was equipped with a very nice television and audio system. The Wifi worked great!!! The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious with lots of closet space! The bathrooms were very spacious as well with nice showers! One of nicest aspects of staying in Mrs. Sonia’s apartments is interacting with his delightful and helpful staff. Ms. Cristina (Rosamilla), our host, was very friendly, gracious, and very helpful with information about Lucca. We also took advantage of having a cooking lesson with Chef Cristina who is so knowledgeable about food, cooking techniques, and especially helpful about the Lucca area. We had a lesson with her the last time we were stayed in Lucca two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was joy to see our friend, Cristina, again to cook and share a nice meal and were delighted to meet and get to know her husband, Paolo, when we met to plan our lesson and meal. We would not hesitate at all to book this apartment or any other apartment made available by Mrs. Sonia the next time we visit Lucca!!!

Fantastisk lÀgenhet med allt man kan önska sig

Denna lÀgenhet har AC i varje sovrum och i vardagsrummet vilket gjorde den sval och skön. SÀngarna var sköna och lÀgenheten var mkt fin. Det som var ett litet minus var att det var ett tak som man hade som utsikt frÄn balkongen. Skulle definitivt vÀlja detta stÀlle igen om jag har vÀgarna förbi.

Loved our stay in Lucca!

This apartment fit our needs perfectly. It is well appointed, clean and quiet. Sonia and Cristina were gracious hosts and responded quickly to our inquiries. The walk to the walls of Lucca is quick and the street offers everything you need for your stay. There are bakeries, meat and produce markets, even a pharmacy and hardware store. I hope to return soon and would not hesitate to book this wonderful apartment again!
