We only stayed one night but were very happy with our room. The location was good. You will need to take a taxi if you arrive by train. Lucca is a very walkable city. We were able to relax in the lobby the day we left before going to the train station

B&B host was lovely, incredibly pleasant and helpful. Location is perfect for lucca, balcony opening up to main piazza was amazing. And sound proof doors for sleep, very silent. We loved our stay.

The room, bathroom, bedding all very clean and the bedroom was quite large. The welcome we received was very good and a good explanation of how the amenities work. Breakfast was just around the corner in a little cafe (all was very good). There are steps leading upto the room. Aircon a little noisy. The location of the appartment was excellent. Overall very pleased and would definitely go back.

Lovely B&B

Lovely friendly B&B right in the centre of Lucca. Although the room was small it had everything you could need and there was also a sitting area by reception which was great. Very comfortable bed, great air conditioning, good shower. We’d definitely stay here again.

B&B is well located, built on remains of Roman amphitheater and you can see that in the building. Room was small and hot water was only lukewarm in the small shower. Staff was very friendly and cleaned up our room every day including new towels. Don’t go to Lucca in October - every open space and square is taken over by tents and temporary buildings for a comic and game event at the end of the month. Ruins all the views.

Location is great. Room was a bit tight but very comfortable bed. A mirror in the bedroom would be great because no aircon in barhroom so very hot for drying hair. Overall great value for money. And thank you for coming out at 11pm to fix the aircon!

Fabulous location. Clean and secure. Cute and authentic old building with character and charm. We had two rooms and each was different. My only criticism is we needed a fan in the room, in between season for AC or heat and was a bit stuffy to sleep. But hostess was friendly and the location can’t be beat. Breakfast included at nice little restaurant across the street.

LOVELY LUCCA

The Bed and Breakfast overlooking the Anfiteatro in Lucca, Italy, offers a charming and picturesque escape in a historic setting. Guests often praise its prime location, providing easy access to the vibrant piazza and the city's charming cobblestone streets. The rooms are typically described as comfortable and well-appointed, often featuring a mix of traditional and modern decor that reflects the area's rich history. Many reviews note the warm and welcoming hospitality of the hosts, who often go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Breakfast is usually highlighted for its delicious selection of local and fresh produce. Overall, this B&B is highly recommended for those seeking a cozy and authentic Italian experience with breathtaking views of one of Lucca's most iconic landmarks.

Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. So I called the B&B to try to make the change but they cannot do this. They saved my room for me but I had to pay for the night I wasn’t there. Annoying. I had a room overlooking the plaza. It’s very noisy with buskers and their sound equipment, for the most part playing music they think Americans would like. Also the volume of diners talking in the street just below, made me want to close the windows much of the time, it was like being at a loud party where you knew no one. It was a great view, so definitely a trade off Monica, who seems to do everything there, was friendly and helpful, but her time there is erratic.

First trip to Italy...location of the hotel was perfect. Monica was friendly and helpful...room was clean ....air conditioning welcome....Breakfast.....was ok but never had to go to another premises for it (was at a cafe round the corner which wasn't explained when booking). Would go room only if went again as cost of coffee and a croissant was less than the 10 Euros we were alloted.

This B&B is right off the main piazza which has convenience, but also a lot of pedestrian traffic nearby, although not right in front of the B&B. Monica, the innkeeper went above & beyond to assist me, while my husband was unfortunately in the nearby hospital. She called taxis & even once came herself to pick me up. She also showed caring & concern which was much appreciated at a trying time.

tre dagar i Lucca

Trevlig och tjänstvillig personal tog emot oss med ett leende trots sen ankomst. Ett underbart stort rum i centrum av Lucca. God och vacker frukost i restaurangen 5 meter från boendet. Allt var bra, men personalen var bäst. Rekommenderas varmt!
