I wish I'd known how filty and small the rooms are. They put us in a room that hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest. Yuck. We wanted to go get a room elsewhere but they wouldn't refund us because it was already past "cancelation time". So if you arrive after that time and find the place unacceptable, you are stuck staying there unless you want to eat the cost. BTW, the mattresses are the worst!!! 2 days later and my body still aches from "sleeping" there. If you want to stay beach side, don't stay here. It's a $100 a night upgrade. Not worth staying here just to save a few bucks!

As I was sitting in the parking lot of Hamilton Inn, I went to Travelocity website to put in my dates of stay which was that night I put in the 20th and 21 September Friday night to Saturday. I get a text message saying welcome congratulations blah blah blah. You are now scheduled for the 21st and 22 September that was not correct. I called the front desk sitting in the parking lot to correct it I did not go into the lobby because I was trying to do this immediately and they will not cancel it nor give my money back and so I did not stay at the Hamilton M. I had to go across the street to another hotel. I called Ralph Travelocity, and they could see that I was trying to correct it and they called the manager of the hotel Hamilton to know avail.

This was a comfortable but dated facility in need of a refresh and modernization. It was adequate for our needs, but the breakfast served was very mediocre, and the same served everyday. We ate breakfast elsewhere after the first day. Beds were comfortable and the facility was quiet.

I absolutely loved the view. My room was really nice! The breakfast was wonderful. There was an amazing variety! I had a balcony room so i got to see the sun raise! Very beautiful

The property is stony 5 min walk to the Mackinac ferry and sold discounted tickets. They also sold discounted carriage ride tickets

The room was dirty. The tub was dirty. The jetted tub was lined with sand after draining it. We were not on the beach. This came from the jets themselves. Upon a closer look they were dirty. When we mentioned it to the front desk they claimed "the lines are flushed and that is the result". That did not remove any concerns. The bathroom sink didn't drain properly. The screen on the sliding door was taped at the top and the tape was hanging half off. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was filthy. You could not even see the bottom. There was peeling stripping all around the top of the hot tub. It looked too disgusting to enter. The room came with free waterpark passes at a local hotel. It has a couple of waterside and a lazy river. Both slides were closed and boarded up and the plunge pool empty. The lazy river barely moved. We stayed less than 10 minutes. For the price we paid I expected better. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

the night before i stayed at an expedia super 8 hotel, which was a disgusting hole. the hamilton was a breath of fresh air. walking in the front door was a welcoming staff, it backed up on the same shore, the building is a little dated, but, very well maintained. the room was clean, neat, comfortable. I don't travel much, I understand most are franchises, I'll never look at another Super 8 again. Mackinac City, was a very nice experience,,,, thank you Hamilton

The beds are awful, worst beds we ever slept in. Otherwise have dirty carpets, poor shower, and dusty table tops in the room. Beautiful view and otherwise ok.

I really liked the view, the fact that the hotel was on the lake made viewing the Saturday night fireworks wonderful! There was an issue with the bathroom when we arrived because it had been clogged however when brought to the attention of the staff they took quick action to make it right.
