The JAL hotel is wonderfully located in Nagano city, only a few blocks walk to the train station. A full and large Breakfast is available everyday on the top floor for amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Rooms are quite spacious. It is close to the Nagano station and 7-Eleven. It also has a nice shared hot bath pool and coin laundry to wash and drying shoes clothes.

Hotel Silk in Madarao
First off the reception has a strong stench of cigarette smoke. On check out the hotel demanded extra money than what was listed on the book page. They listed ¥150 per person per night which was fine however they wanted another ¥350 per person for heating cost!?!? Which was never listed during booking. ...
