Originally built as a radio station, this property carries a fascinating history.
The station’s first call sign was WFDR-FM, the sister to WFDR AM 1370 in Manchester—named in honor of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, whose famous Little White House lies just minutes away in Warm Springs, Georgia.

Over the years, the property evolved through several identities—WQCK (1981) and WVFJ-FM (1983)—before becoming today’s one-of-a-kind retreat: Lara’s Chateau at The Radio House.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend this home! The 13 bedrooms came in handy for our big family vacation. Lara was quick to respond to our questions, the check in was easy, the property was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. We spent a lot of time on the deck, and the view was amazing - just as advertised. The main kitchen and dining room was a great gathering place. Everyone enjoyed the pool table and the theatre room. We visited Callaway Gardens, Roosevelt State Park and the Little White House. Everyone LOVED feeding the animals at the Wild Animal Safari! We made a LOT of great family memories, and we hope to come back again. Five Star Rating for sure.

Our stay at this cabin was nothing short of amazing! The property is incredibly charming, spacious, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for our large group of 20 plus. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, and we never felt crowded. The cabin had to large kitchens which really made cooking for everyone a breeze. The mountain backdrop was absolutely breathtaking—especially in the mornings with coffee on the deck. The setting is peaceful and serene, yet close enough to nearby attractions if you want to explore.One of the highlights was the private movie theater—such a fun and cozy touch that everyone enjoyed after a day of hiking and sightseeing.The host was fantastic—super accommodating, very responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. You can tell they genuinely care about the guest experience.Highly recommend this cabin for any large group looking for a memorable and relaxing mountain retreat. We can’t wait to come back.
