We had a good vacation in this Manson rental. The house is spacious, works well for multi generational family group. Kitchen is very well stocked, but bring your paper towels and TP you will need it. The pool bath is a wonderful convenience to have right outside the pool. The pool is fantastic, fully fenced and safe for little children. Checking in and out was a breeze. Ample parking in driveway. If you donât do stairs this would be a draw back for some. Washer and dryer work well, detergent provide. Loved the deck area and nicely shaded, flowers on the deck were a nice touch also. Big yard for kids to run and play and a safe place to ride bikes. There is also a small basket ball court.
Things to be aware of:
The cooktop has elements that donât work or donât work properly. That was noted from another review a year ago. The management said it would be fixed then but is still not fixed.
The fridge door is broken so you need to take care closing the door, the inside crisper drawers have been repaired in a incomplete manner. One drawer is difficult to use the other we didnât use.
The dishwasher works good, but be very careful when opening the door, the spring for the door is broken so the door falls to the floor. It is not safe when you are not aware of it but if a child opened it they would be hurt. So please be careful!
The mattress downstairs are not comfortable and some pillows are stained, you might want to take your own pillows.
When we arrived the freezer in the frigid downstairs was so full of frost the door would not close. We took it outside to defrost, wiped it out reinstalled and it worked fine the rest of our stay.
Take care when you walk around the deck, and ground floor patio one of our group stepped on a rusty tack. We found multiple nails and screws, so be careful with your children walking around the property.
Bring your own pool umbrellas there are none. The pool has no shade. The temperature control on the hot tub would not work so the hot tub was 105, very hot. The gas fire pit is inoperable so donât count that as one of the amenities.
In the rental agreement Vacasa states you are renting the property as is. For me it would have been nice to know these issues upfront, but thatâs what reviews are for, right.
I hope this helps the next guests prepared to rent this Chelan home in the future.
Wow! This place was absolutely incredible! Big pool, great views, affordable price (probably because we were there during what is technically the off season. But, we had 85 degree weather and not a trace of smoke the entire time!) and a huge house with tons of space for multiple families. We felt like royalty! đ No issues checking in or out. We canât wait to go back next year!
We had a nice trip overall. Itâs in a nice location, view is decent, well stocked kitchen, pool and hot tub were fun. Itâs a completely different pool from the photos here. That was a little annoying because we picked the house due to the pool. Iâm sure the new pool is in better shape, but itâs a rectangle, no diving board and no attached hot tub. Iâm not one to be picky, but there were many things Iâd fix around the house. There were many unsafe features for our group with young kids and grandparents . The outside stairs were awkward and difficult for hauling in luggage etc, but we did find that we could use the inside stairs fine to get in and out of the house. We constantly tripped over the driveway and back porch as there was uneven concrete. The deck needs repair as well. Iâm also not sure the pool is heated. We found it to be very cold, but eventually got used to it. It is also very sunny by the pool and no shade, so we purchased our own umbrella. For the price of the house I would expect nicer furniture/cleaner etc, but we still enjoyed our time.
The house and pool were wonderful! The size of the house were perfect for our large group. The cleanliness of the house was less than we expected especially given the current situation. Bathrooms were pretty good except for rugs. The kitchen floor had obviously not been cleaned at all. Carpeting was very dirty. Furniture is old and needs replacing. We also ran low on toilet paper, had to make several calls to get more and were told we might have to pay for itđł. The deck is wonderful with lots of seating.
received early check in, but yet the place wasn't ready and the team there to clean, didn't know we were arriving early. Master bed - too soft even with the extra foam pad. Time to invest in a new mattress! And last, no kitchen garbage bags. Not the worst thing, but we had a full house and needed those!
We had plenty of space for everyone to hang out without being on top of each other. Pool space - perfect! Yard space - perfect! Location / Location / Location - Perfect. We will definitely book this place again!

Beware - this house is not how it appears in the pictures!
I'm not exactly sure where to start here - there were so many odd things about the house!
1) the layout was very odd - only one full bathroom downstairs and three bedrooms, two of which had room for multiple people
2) The bunkbed room downstairs was super cold and although it had a wall heater, it didn't appear to be in great condition. The carpet in the bunkbed room was dirty and we found a thumb tack on the floor which was concerning as this was the kids' room and could have been easily stepped on. Also, there were many personal items left in the broken dresser drawers so it made it impossible to unpack.
3) The downstairs room with two queen beds was ridiculous. You couldn't even open the door all the way to get to the closest as it was blocked by one of the beds.
4) The downstairs room with one queen was ok but also very cold and required the use of the wall heater.
5) The downstairs living room was also ok but the furniture was old and worn out and the carpet was gross. There were also too many decorative items around to make it comfortable. It would be better to have less items with a more staged feel.
6) The master bedroom - The dresser is old and the drawers don't work well. In addition, we found many personal items including a large stash of pornography (both magazines and DVDs) which was pretty awful to discover. The drawers were unusable due to being broken and the walk in closet was as well as there were two foldout beds (in horrible condition) and a vacuum cleaner inside. The master bath was ok but again way too many decorative items.
7) When we got to the house we didn't have running water in most of the rooms as the pipes were frozen and we were not given many options to fix it other than just wait. That was unacceptable as there were 6 adults and 6 children in the house.
8) The other bedroom upstairs was a bunk with a pull out futon couch that didn't pull out flat. The furnishings again were broken and full of personal items.
9) The kitchen - it was fine but again too many decorative items.
10) The washing machine and dryer don't work well so it was impossible to do any laundry during our stay. The washing machine wouldn't spin and drain the water and the dryer took too long to dry the super wet loads.
11) The hot tub contained way too much chlorine and felt gross.
12) The exterior lighting had bulbs that were out making it pretty dark at night.
13) The house didn't feel clean. Found a rotting lemon under the couch.
The house is large, and furnished with all the necessities. The views from the deck are stunning, and the property provides room for yard games. The unheated pool was a bit of a challenge, but still enjoyable.
Probably wouldn't stay here again, but it's because of the property management company, not the home
I spent 2 hours on the phone every day we were there trying to get things fixed (the AC wasn't turning on and the BBQ didn't work). I doubt this review will ever get published as the only issue I have is with the property management company. I will never rent another home managed by Vacasa/Home Away. Their customer service left a lot to be desired. I shouldn't have had to spend 2 hours every day of our vacation trying to get someone (at the very least) to call me back! I had to call again every day until I FINALLY got ahold of someone who gave a damn. Unfortunately that was on Saturday evening and we vacated Sunday morning. Not a great experience.
