Getting Around:

Car rentals are quite popular and are great for those who'd like to adventure the island! However, taxis are also available and can certainly be arranged throughout your stay. Also airport transportation can be arrange from and to the airport at an additional cost.

Family stay at Villa Susanna

We host an annual family retreat and this year chose St. Lucia. We have a large family (20+) so had to book multiple villas with Susanna being the "meeting grounds" for the family. This was a lovely and picturesque property and we ultimately enjoyed our stay greatly. The staff was friendly and accommodating (Roy and Anne are fantastic and amazing) and Darlene was also very helpful in helping coordinate logistics ahead of our stay (once we figured out who we should communicate with between the booking agent, VRBO, owner, or management). I would say that unfortunately we weren't entirely impressed with the food catering provided as it was of lower quality. Would recommend hiring Claudia (a local chef who services other villas) as she helped prepare food for our other properties and it was incredible. Additionally, I did feel that this was billed as a more catered, resort experience which was a bit misleading. Even small details like shampoo and conditioner was missing, for example... Yes, it was a stunning property and the staff was accommodating, but based on how the property was marketed, the cost, additional fees, etc. we expected a much higher quality/more attentive service. In fairness, we did have a larger group and (at no fault of Sandro and ownership) this is not an appropriate venue for larger groups as the staff was not equipped to provide as good of a service as they probably are able to with a group of 8-10.
