Low Country Getaway is a beautiful cabin style home built in 1993. Since this property is new to the short term rental market, we are looking forward to your feedback and suggestions to make this one of the most desirable locations at Massanutten.

Situated on a nice flat lot there is a lot of room to roam or play all year long.

Relax with friends and family on the large rear deck surrounded by panoramic mountain views, or retreat to the back yard area to enjoy the filtered afternoon light. Enjoy relaxing in the eight-person hot tub with all the bells and whistles in complete privacy.

The house has Comcast cable & Comcast WIFI. Five TVs with cable and three with Blue Ray DVDs for using your own devices.

Bring your family to the Low Country Getaway and indulge yourselves in mountain luxury.

Entry level: The main floor has a pool table room with a slate top pool table, television, and 2 Bedrooms, and fun pool hall style furniture!

Basement Level: There are 2 bedrooms, a family game and entertainment room, a full bath and access to the large back yard and massive 8 person hot tub that even has an outdoor television for viewing that important game while relaxing from a busy day on the mountain.

Living and dining are all together in this large open room. A large deck is off the rear of the house. Relax, dine and enjoy the views of the mountains year-round.

Gather to prepare and eat dinner and watch a movie with family and friends.

Down the hall is the master bedroom, another bedroom and a half bath.

The master bedroom has a Sleep Number bed for the perfect night's sleep. The master bedroom has a TV with a bluray player, and it's own bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

The other bedroom has 2 sets of twin bunk beds where the kids can have all the fun of a sleepover.

This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten Property Owners
Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA
neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including
families with children, retirees, second-home owners and other guests enjoying their retreat.
NOISE

‱ No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents.
PARKING
‱ Keep all tires off the road.

‱ No buses, campers, or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with

The house was fantastic — clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our stay. Kevin was incredibly responsive, especially when a snowstorm made getting out a bit tricky, and we really appreciated his support. We had a small issue figuring out the TV remotes, but it was minor. The hot tub had a little sand or dirt in it, but it was fully usable and such a treat in the freezing temperatures and snow. Overall, Kevin was a great host, and we would absolutely stay here again. We’ve already recommended the property to several friends.

The house was pretty clean, but grill was not usable. There are a few minor things that could be fixed and or cleaned but overall it is a nice place. Gave direct feedback to the host but did not receive a reply.

The home is well set up. We really only used one bedroom, the hot tub, dryer and pool table. We enjoyed the quiet area. The pool table could stand some repairing, but it worked okay for us. I imagine it's difficult to keep everything nice since not all renters treat someone else's property with care and respect. We contacted the owner for one item and it was taken care of promptly.

Great getaway for a group

The house was super comfy, very clean, and kitchen was well equipped, if a little disorganized. The bedrooms could have used some lamps, and the lighting was kind of low with several burnt bulbs. There was an issue with the hot tub, and after a call to the property manager it was fixed within an hour, which was great customer service. Would definitely consider staying here again if I find myself out that way again. Although I am still awaiting the credit of my security deposit

Adequate for a Weekend Stay

3.5 stars. Pros: Was a good space to have a gathering with friends for my husband's birthday. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table (upstairs) and big sofa TV (basement). Overall, kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and dishes, and the house seemed clean. Owner was also very responsive when I called about an error on the hot tub. Cons: It seems like the owner has not stayed at this property recently. The house is in desperate need of landscaping, a fresh coat of paint and spackling inside and updating of decor/furniture. Basement carpet was also pretty stained/dirty (beige is never a good color). Not enough additional blankets for the house, as comforters were very thin, and there was not a full set of measuring cups/spoons to be found. Overall, the property just felt a little neglected, especially in relation to the price. A little disappointing.

Fun Spot!

The Low Country Getaway had everything we need for a fun family vacation. We enjoyed the pool table, the hot tub, the strong WiFi, and the cable. The house included bath towels, which was a nice surprise. The house needs better lighting (several bulbs were out/missing, and there just wasn't much light in the common spaces), and it needs a restock on cooking supplies (pots, pans, etc). Kevin was responsive, and the house is very clean.

Great family trip

Property in a great area close to Massanutten and activities. Property host was excellent, very responsive and nothing we asked for was too much trouble. We requested extra pool cues and blankets and these were delivered promptly. Only negatives were that the property is looking tired in places- carpets and furniture could do with a refresh, and the kitchen was not well stocked with pans etc. but very comfortable for our short stay.We would return, thankyou

House is not maintained

I would not advise staying here if you have children with you. There were several issues with the house which were safety concerns for children such as broken supports on the bunk bed, loose floorboards, etc. Additionally, a member of our party received an infection from the hot tub. Property management was unresponsive during and after our stay.

Nice house in Massanutten

Perfect house at Massanutten for a small get-together of old friends. There are several fun nearby attractions and good restaurants in the area and Harrisonburg and James Madison University are only a half hour away. If you decide to stay in and not take advantage of the activities offered on the mountain, the house offers a billiards and foosball table, large back yard, large hot tub, large deck perfect for morning coffee, large grill and a nice comfortable area in the basement area to watch tv. The house can use a few updates and an evaluation of the kitchen utensils, pots and pans would be helpful for those that like to cook. Also, the pool table needs some significant work but was still fun to play on. The management team was extremely helpful and made the whole process, from reservations to returning the deposit, very easy. We will definitely be back.
