Bar 7 Bunk House - perfect for OHV travelers!

The Bar 7 Ranch is a working cattle ranch located five miles outside of the small mountain town of Meeker, Colorado. The Bunk House offers one double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, one full bathroom, a snack bar and small living room, WiFi, and comes stocked with linens and towels. On site laundry facilities are also available for our guests’ use. ​Surrounded by numerous mature trees, manicured grounds and called home by a vast variety and number of indigenous birds, guests can’t help but enjoy the expansive lawn areas. Whether you see our yearly-returning family of foxes, the overly domesticated deer that hang out in the yard, or the herd of trophy-sized bucks grazing in the hay meadows (we call them “the boys”), we are certain that the Bar 7 Ranch is sure to become one of your favorite, return destinations. We have ample parking for your OHV trailers and are located on an OHV friendly road - allowing you to leave directly from our property!

About Meeker: For those seeking easy access to hiking, OHV trails, camping, hunting, fishing, backpacking, horseback riding, snowmobiling and other outdoor recreation (don't miss the weekly Meeker Rodeo at the Fairgrounds!), Meeker is a sure thing. Didn't ever meet the owners but the Bunkhouse was quite and a nice place for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Quiet slice of heaven

We love this place. Quiet a friendly and has a great feel to it. The hosts are great and accommodating. Drive up to trappers lake is probably the best scenery in Colorado. We will be back!

Our trip

Besides the malfunction of the water heater and only 5 mins of hot water, the stay was great. Beautiful and quiet location. Shannon was great to talk to and started addressing the water heater issue right away. Would recommend.

Property is great, hosts are even better!

Everything about the bunkhouse stay was easy and as expected based on the website. The area is great. Trails for our SxS accessible right from the ranch. What was unexpected was just how amazing Shannon and Buckshot were. They go above and beyond to make out-of-towners feel like family. They are the difference. You won’t regret spending time on their ranch as your home base while exploring the Meeker/Flat Tops area. Truly a gem.

The Bar 7 Ranch was amazing!

We had a group of 17 that stayed. It was so much fun and the house is amazing! Everything was in order and Shannon was very easy to work with. The only thing I would recommend is the upstairs bedrooms get hot during the evenings as it’s an older home and the air conditioner is a window ac unit. But, nevertheless, we made due and enjoyed our stay. Thanks Shannon and Bar 7 Ranch for a great stay!!

First Elk Hunt

The Bar 7 bunkhouse was everything my husband and I needed and wanted for a cozy place to call home while in CO Elk hunting. The little bunkhouse was fully equipped for a pleasant stay very clean and fresh. Lovely kitchen and gas BBQ made for a relaxing time when we returned from our hunts. We will definitely try and reserve next year for another hunt. Shannon met us upon our arrival and was the most helpful. We loved waking up and arriving back to a working cattle ranch and two very friendly dogs :-) We are so happy we stumbled upon the Bar 7 and can not wait to return! Thank you again, The Clouds

Spacious, clean and great views

Rustic with all the modern conveniences of home. We took a small vacation to Meeker! CO with a few couples to go snowmobiling. Our friends stayed at an area hotel and we stayed at this cute little bunkhouse! I think we faired MUCH better than our friends from the sounds of it. Views were 360 gorgeous! My husband had ample room to park our vehicle and snowmobile trailer. Most importantly - our bed was so cozy! Unfortunately, there was not a lot of snow which is rare for this area and time of year. Since we couldn’t snowmobile, our friends came over to our cute little bunkhouse and we kicked back and drank some good bourbon and wine. Will try it again next year and definitely stay at the ranch. Think we are going to upgrade to the ranch house next year and our friends will stay with us. Definitely more affordable than all of us renting separate rooms.

What a Place!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was so peaceful. The bed was comfy, the coffee pot was a welcome sight after the dinky hotel single packs! The house is adorable, had everything we needed, and again -- sooooo peaceful!!
