An excellent find
First of all, we can’t say enough about our host, Mauro!! He was extremely attentive to our every need and request, and he stayed until 11 pm to let us in due to our Brindisi flight’s late arrival. . He also provided us with great recommendations, especially in giving us excellent dining choices.
The apartment is comfortable, although one of the couches (the smaller one) shown in the pictures is no longer there. There is an improvement in that there is a very functional stand in the bathroom which replaces the towel rack shown in the pictures.
The only complaint, and it’s a minor one, is that the kitchen is not as well equipped as it could be. For example, there was no spatula in the kitchen, which we quickly resolved with a 5€ purchase.
Although there was no kettle, Mauro’s father quickly brought one over when we mentioned this to Mauro.
And one more thing…in the land of such fabulous wines, a couple of wine glasses would be a welcome addition.
All in all, we were very pleased with the apartment, it’s location and the nearby sites such as Rocca Vecchia. We made several day trips to both Lecce and Otranto, sites not to miss on a visit to San Foca.
