Lake get away with friends and kids...
The location was excellent, just a short walk to the beach. A few miles from plenty of shops etc. and the property has enough space for a large group.
A few things that should be considered: One main one is that the AC in the house is not suitable. On very hot days, without any AC in the basement the "loft" downstairs is not safe for young kids and as the loft is only 4 ft high it can only really fit young kids. This is concerning. I had to buy additional fans to try and move air around as the temperature on the main floor and basement where into the high 70's and low 80's. An AC unit downstairs and a larger one in the main room upstairs would be worth it for the comfort of guests.
The property was clean, although the sheets smelled a little like moth balls. As the owner expects you to keep the house clean, it would be nice if the use of more than a small broom was available, having a small vacuum or mop would be nice. No one likes to clean but with little kids you need more than a small broom if you eat in the home.
The last part that I do not agree with is, if I am paying a cleaning fee I shouldn't have to worry about bringing trash to a dump or home with me if I exceed a limit.
Overall this was a good property and I would consider renting again, but I couldn't if the AC wasn't better if I needed more than the 2 rooms upstairs.
