Maeburn Cottages are located a short stroll to the pristine waters of Lake King in Metung, an up-market fishing village on the shores of the spectacular Gippsland Lakes in East Gippsland Victoria, which form the largest inland waters in Australia.

2 min drive to Metung Village. Local shops include a general store, pharmacy, post shop real-estates and Seven Sundays boutique ladies clothing, METUNG pub on the water, bakery, takeaway, wood fired pizza, Aroma Greek restaurant, great coffee shops and florist.

Farmers market on the Village Green on the second Sat morning of each month.

15min drive to Aldi in Lakes Entrance Footbridge to the surf and 30min to Bairnsdale.

The property is set in an acre of established gardens, amidst native trees that play home to a large number of rare bird species. Indeed a twitchers paradise. Enjoy identifying more than 130 varieties of birdlife.

The Lakes promote numerous water sports, such as sailing regattas, safe boating, fishing competitions (e.g. The Bream Classic), kayaking, windsurfing waterskiing and jet skiing.
Explore the Lakes by ferry or book an Eco-cruise to see the seals and dolphins.

Other outdoor pursuits include, hiking trails, bush walking, cycling and golf. We are just around the corner from the prestigious Ted Parslow architect designed resort-style Kings Cove Golf Course (visitors welcome) the
Metung Country Club and Hot Springs.

Each Cottage is free-standing and has a spacious, covered and gated wooden deck with outdoor setting.
