Great location. The room window and doors were very thin and you could hear every conversation that was happening outside. Heard peoples conversations that were walking down the side street all through the night.

Little gem

It’s a no frills hotel. She’s old but has character. Needs some updating. Maybe new paint on the walls and some wall decorations. Would be nice if there was as a deal they could make with a local restaurant to offer breakfast or have coffee, bagels and donuts in the morning. Staff was really friendly. Overall I would stay there again. There’s a nice paved bike/walking trail across the street. Hotel is above a bar/restaurant. There are a lot of bars on that street but there is also a heavy police presence. Music didn’t bother us but just be aware there is loud music.

The bed was not very comfortable and the blinds did not block enough light. Also you could hear outside noise very easily. The lobby bathroom was gross as well.

while it was the cheapest option in the area, there are pros and cons. the building is very old - the elevator seems from the mid 50s maybe older. the rooms were pleasantly decorated and for $200 total a night on ocean drive in March it’s acceptable however the walls are paper thin and noise from both rooms and the street is dominant. Bathroom is old needs a renovation but the main room was very acceptable, samsung TV so you can change inputs for portable roku, sink is outside the bathroom near the front door which is great for use. small fridge worked and was cold.

an oldie but a goody

We were a little worried about staying here, but the location was perfect, and the price really good. When we entered the lobby, again extremely worried about the rooms, as the lobby seemed very original to the building built in 1937. On another note, the building was very old, but the lobby was super cool and had that authentic vibe, which I really like...and then we got to our room and we were VERY pleasantly surprised! It was really large, the ac worked great, and everything was freshly painted and clean. The beds were beautiful, but sadly every movement on the mattress was really loud...very odd and made it difficult to sleep. Also, the windows are all original single pane, so the car parking lot next door was quite loud. That all having been said, I would absolutely stay here again...I thought it was a really cool old hotel with serious ambiance...just remember it is not a 4 seasons. We had a great time!

Historic, but outdated. Potential to be quite charming, but needs work. It is not clear that they offer valet service or where they are located. There weren’t very many outlets in the rooms. They use actual keys to unlock the doors so you are limited to only one key per room. The elevator is abrupt, but in working condition. For the price, the hotel is not great, but location is decent.

The location was awesome being at the beach and where all the action was and art deco style building. It's best to not be near the elevator as its super noisy as it's old style Otis steel clunks open and closed super loud. Offering bottles of water would be nice. There was a fridge and everything worked, but old style and old windows looked original. Good view of the Ocean though from the front on 3rd floor.
