This cottage is attached to a French Normandy-style house and is a very private, ample 1200 square feet. A European immersion experience will enhance this perfect spot for a getaway. This special and memorable home has been highlighted in Better Homes and Gardens.

It is centrally located to downtown Stillwater, either through a beautiful historic neighborhood or along a bike/walking path along the river. At the bottom of your cottage driveway is Stillwater’s southern scenic overlook where you will get the best view of the new St. Croix Crossing Bridge into Wisconsin.

Sweeping French doors into a bedroom, a full kitchen and bar, living and dining room area and a bathroom with shower all on one level makes the cottage easily accessible and livable for short stays or an extended stay.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was fabulous with everything you could possibly need! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessary utensils of cooking for a night in. The bed is very comfortable. A quiet and relaxing escape!

I cooked quite a bit because I am not a huge fan of the Stillwater restaurant scene and found the kitchen to be incredibly well stocked for my needs. This is an extraordinary rental with a very comfortable living room and working gas fireplace, dining table and a generous host who provides everything one needs. It's a cozy place with beautiful interior design, great outdoor space and view of extensive back yard. The location is great for walking...a short walk to the trailhead of the St. Croix Valley Pathway that can be hiked or biked. We walked into town, across the two bridges that cross the St. Croix River into Wisconsin. Stillwater is a great place to have breakfast with the Oasis Cafe being the closest to this cottage. We really enjoyed our time!

Louise and Martin are the greatest hosts. I doubt you will find a better listing on VRBO. It is perfectly decorated. Stillwater is an adorable town.

Heavenly . . . . WOW, what a fabulous view of the gorgeous yard from the large windows of this cottage. We were totally enthralled. The cottage itself is very lovely, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything we needed was provided. The neighborhood is very peaceful and private. We were able to walk to Sunnyside Marina in a few minutes, and if we were a bit younger could have walked to downtown Stillwater. We would love to return to this cottage some day and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Stillwater area. Thank you very much Louise and Martin!

The location is absolutely stunning and very quiet and peaceful. The unit is incredibly spacious, well appointed, and equipped. Easy access to the bike/walking trails. Downtown Stillwater is walkable, but it is more likely a short drive. We would like to stay here, again.

We have enjoyed our third stay at the Cottage. The decor is delightful and the size is perfect for two! This year because of all the rain it was a bit musty smelling but not so bad we wanted to complain. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen has all the necessary items.

Great getaway!

Stayed here for our 20 th anniversary. Such a beautiful place! Makes you feel like you are in a French villa . Our hosts were very gracious and replied to our questions quickly. Got to speak to the neighbors and they were very nice too-gave us some great recommendations for down town. The morning patio coffee was one of our favs!! We’d stay here again.

Serene Setting Close To Stillwater

When we drove up the drive that was lined with magnificent lilac bushes and saw the rolling lawn, we knew we had made a perfect choice. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Stillwater, we had the best of both worlds. Thank you to the hosts for allowing us to rent your spacious and peaceful property!

Beautiful Property

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend in Stillwater. The location was lovely-directly across the street was a scenic overlook if that gives you any idea of what a gorgeous view we had. The space was perfect for two-one bedroom, one bathroom, but lots of room. The couch was insanely comfortable, there was a large TV and a DVD player with popular movies for our rainy night in. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, huge windows to enjoy the view. I would rent this property in a heartbeat the next time we're in the area.

French villa in Minnesota!

This place is wonderful! The location, literally overlooking the St. Croix River, is beautiful. The unit itself was beyond our expectations. The owners have impeccable taste: from the slate floors to the real china dishes, every detail is thought through and executed perfectly. Our only “issue” was my GPS brought me in the wrong way, but we figured it out. We will definitely be back .

Hallmark weekend in Stillwater

This cottage was the perfect place for our “Hallmark Weekend “ in Stillwater! The location was perfect as we were easily able to enjoy all of the dining, shopping, and holiday festivities of this charming community!
