If you want to take a walk along the seafront of Monopoli from the old port, passing through the Carlo V Castle towards some of the most characteristic beaches of the city, you find yourself half-way in a pretty flowery open space, behind a small church and is here that is located the splendid Dimora Arcadia. The stone house is completely independent, is organized on several floors reachable through flights of stairs, as well as the typical houses in the area. As soon as you cross the threshold, you find yourself in a welcoming entrance from which you can reach a living room with a barrel vault. On the next floor, you immediately reach the first kitchen and dining area with table and chairs and, everything is finished by a precious lighting system, from here you get into a second living room with two sofas where you can relax, enjoying the nearby alley view, thanks to the presence of a big window. The second floor is characterized by the presence of two bedrooms: a more intimate and cozy, with soft lights that make it warm and welcoming; the other radiated by the white light coming from the window, dominated by blue and white, with continuous references to the details of the Mediterranean tradition and the sea. On the same floor there is a bathroom with a shower, where we find the stone that characterizes the whole house also in the cladding and in the important washbasin with a classic taste. Also at this level a bright living room with references to the Moroccan world. On the third floor comes back the theme of the sea, of which you can already enjoy the view from the third bedroom, where the references in furnishing and colors, constantly bring back to the seafaring tradition. The details of the sea are also in the room, where there is also a laundry area. From here it is possible, through a white spiral staircase in wrought iron, to reach the property terrace. On the top floor there is immediately a kitchen, with a floor, a hob and a pantry, perfect to prepare dishes that you can enjoy on the two adjacent terraces, dominating by a splendid sea view. In the two connected terraces, there is a dining area, shaded by a pergola, and a relaxation area with sofas. From this point it is possible to enjoy a view of the entire historical center of the city, of the entire coast and of all the small bays that characterize it. Due to the multi-storey layout, connected by narrow staircases, this flat is not recommended for families with children under 6 years old. The late check-in supplement is optional. If you choose not to use it, we will send you the instructions to access the property and arrange to meet you the following day. Alternatively, the cost for check-in between 8:00 PM and midnight is âŹ100.00. The apartment does not have private parking. As it is located in the historic center, which is a ZTL (limited traffic zone) , it is not possible to access it by car. You can park near CaffĂš Roma 1 , Largo Vescovado 1, 70043 Monopoli (BA), or in the nearby streets. White lines indicate free parking , while blue lines indicate paid parking .

Great location, wonderful patioâŠeverything else just ok
Iâll start with the positives - the location of this apartment was perfect for us, just off of the water and close to the entrance into the old city which made accessing our rental car in the paid lot just outside a breeze. The other huge draw was the upstairs patio which looked exactly as pictured (minus a few cushions) and had beautiful views of the sea. The house on the other hand was not as ideal for us - the ground and first floors are mostly unusable, with a few chairs and a dark kitchen (which is made up for by the bright functional kitchen on the top floor). The bedroom space was comfortable enough on both the second and third floors, but worth mentioning we did have an issue with the hot water in the bathrooms during our stay as well as a pretty major leak in the ceiling of the front bedroom when it rained. The management was able to help after some back and forth, but overall it kind of marred the experience. One last thing to mention is that the house has very many floors and flights of stairs including a very narrow spiral staircase to the top floor - of course this affords you a great view of the sea, but be warned it is not for anyone that is physically challenged or out of shape. Overall if youâre looking for a great outdoor space with a view and the interior of the house isnât as much of a priority to you then this place could work.
Very stylish house spread over 4 floors with the best part being the roof terrace. Very clean and with great bathrooms. The location is central to the old town and the views from the roof are fantastic.
We spent most of our time on the roof terrace and in the small kitchen next to it, which was great.
Overall a fantastic property, though soundproofing not particularly good (especially between bedroom and bathroom on 1st floor)
