I was coming into town from a whole different state, a whole different coast so I was not there for an afternoon check-in. I needed to check in around nine pm or so. previous to my arrival I kept getting alerts of them trying to charge me for my stay. I hadn’t even arrived yet. I was flying into Lake Charles and then doing the drive w/family to Monroe. Cell service was terrible and they tried to call. I texted my husband to ask him to connect with them to see what was going on. When I finally made it in the woman at the counter told me that I’m lucky my husband called because she was going to have her manager cancel our room because I hadn’t checked in yet. I’ve never had “late” check in be an issue before.
Beyond that I can say I enjoyed how quiet it was but the towels smelled clean but had stains, the computer chair in the room had many stains and there were cockroach type bugs in our room and that had to be unalived. Many of the outlets in the room also didn’t work. All hotels were booked last weekend so there were no other options. So while thankful to have a place to be I would not stay again.
