restaurant was closed - seems like it has been for some time. and nothing else around is open for food except tim hortons on the other side of town. my room was along the wall with the only door that is left accesible over night so all the smokers coughing,talking and slamming the doors for each pass could be heard clear as day through the walls. at all hours of the night.i mightve been more tolerant of this noise if i had gotten to eat dinner

Accommodated my scent allergy (in room)

When I booked my stay I shared that I have scent allergies. They went out of their way to make sure my room was as scent free as possible. That was so wonderful!

Very nice guy on reception and very nice young server in the bar. Good toilet paper and that about ends the good parts. The property is run down, the AC in my room did not function. The soap provided was two very small bars and terrible soap at that. I tried to shower but the soap would not lather and very quickly disintigrated - it was late when I showered to getting more/better soap was not an option as the front desk was unattended. The linen on the beds was very worn, the towels (small as expected) were worn and ragged. The place is just OLD and Run down. The mattress was OK but just - certainly not a modern comfortable mattress. Bottom line is I would NOT stay there again.

I was warmly greeted and had a pleasant chat with the gentleman at the front counter, he suggested I park my motorcycle in a specific area under a security camera. This is the kind of gesture that goes a long way with me. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this place.

I'd have given 5 stars but the perfume scent in the room was unbearable. I barely slept and have had a headache since. The smell has soaked into my clothes and I can't do anything about until I get home.

The staff were wonderful and friendly, and the room and building were very clean. The building is older and was quite run down, and the restaurant was closed down temporarily, but the bar was open and food was decent and drinks good. The surrounding area was just not ascetically pleasing. Beds and pillows were comfy, but the place needs an upgrade.
