Cozy countryside stay

Clearly a newly decorated place, and felt quite spacious due to a nice room, bathroom, hallway layout. Sparkling clean! Lovely garden towards the river - outdoor areas were also very neat and tidy. Spacious parking. B&B host Irene was super nice and helpful - mostly Italian speaking but written communication in English was fine. The B&B is a little far from village life, and there are few restaurant options within walking distance but we did manage to find a very local and super cozy osteria. Convenient for Alcantara gorge (right next to) and Etna where we were heading.

Tolle Unterkunft in ländlicher Umgebung

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Garten mit seinen vielen Orangen- und Zitronenbäumen, wovon man sich frei bedienen kann. Zum Frühstück gibt es ebenfalls frisch gepressten Orangensaft. Dazu tolles Gebäck und fantastische Foccacia mit Tomaten sowie Wurst und Käse. Die Wirtin Irene ist extrem hilfsbereit und hat auch gute Tipps zum Essen gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tutto fantastico grazie all' accoglienza e alla disponibilità dei padroni di casa. Struttura bella ed immersa nel verde. Ottima colazione, varia e abbondante. A due passi dalle Gole dell' Alcantara per gli ospiti c'è una spiaggetta privata sul fiume.

I proprietari gentili e pronti a venire incontro alle esigenze dei clienti. Posto veramente molto bello, camera spaziosa e pulita immersa in un ettaro di giardino curato.

Brava la proprietaria, alcuni dettagli da rivedere

Proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Struttura di recente costruzione con tutti i vantaggi che comporta, ma purtroppo edificata sotto canoni moderni (pareti molto molto sottili). Auguro di avere vicini di stanza menò rumorosi dei nostri. Ancora alcuni consigli: - cambiare i cuscini; - mettere uno specchio per facilitare l’uscita dal cancello (così com’è ora è molto pericolosa) - la “spiaggetta” privata sul fiume non consideratela... È più un piccolo punto di accesso al torrente... Comunque ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Schöne Unterkunft, liebevoll geführt

Die Unterkunft liegt nahe der Alcantaraschlucht. Mit privatem Zugang zum Fluss und einem großen Garten in dem Gemüse und Zitrusfrüchte angebaut werden. Die Anlage wird sehr liebevoll und sorgfältig von Stefania geführt. Sie kümmert sich jeden morgen selbst um ein italienisches Frühstück, geht individuell auf Wünsche ein und unterstützt auch gerne bei der Organisation von Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Aufgrund der Lage im Tal des Flusses ist ein Auto nützlich. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war sehr schön, unkompliziert und eine gute Alternative zu den üblichen Standardhotels.

A nice holiday on Sicily

La Porta Delle Gole is a Nice place to stay, a nice garden to chill with a drink and a good book. Stefania is a nice host who is willing to help you with everything. She comes up with ideas for guests who like to visit the island and had tips for activity's to do and nice towns and restaurants to go to. She was always available for questions on her mobile. Our bed was made up every day, and clean towls and bathroom were included in the service. The only tip I can give would be some better isolation, at the end of our stay the guests in the room above us were very koud and noisy and it was hard to fall asleep.
