While the house and the pond are quite nice, you shouldn't book this place. The problem is that it is managed by Vacasa. If something goes wrong - in our case the dishwasher did not work for our entire vacation - you won't be able to reach anyone who can competently solve your problem. We had to call about 10 times, wasting our vacation time, trying to get it fixed. Every time you call, you have to start from the beginning; there is no record of your prior calls. There is no one local who knows the house, the area, or service contractors who can help quickly. It seemed highly likely that the dishwasher was broken before we arrived, as the errors started the first night. And there seems to be a drainage problem w/ the house in general as both the dw and the first floor bathroom don't drain well. When we arrived, we noticed one of the burners on the grill was left on wide open, not lit but releasing propane. If there was a local property manager, or just a more competent one, this would have been a lovely place to stay. Until then, avoid.
Our friend group, including adult kids, had a great week. House was just as described. Loved the quiet pond, but also close access to the bigger lakes.
Beautiful property with a great location. The listing and pictures actually undersold how close the house is to the pond. The owners clearly wanted their guests to feel welcome, with numerous small touches and things that made our stay that much smoother.
We are a retired couple and stayed with another couple at this property in September 2021. The house was great. Each couple had a bedroom and full bath. We brought our own sheets and towels but everything else was there. Thereâs plenty of room for larger family groups â a large kitchen, dining area and 2 living rooms, all with windows looking out at the lake. The deck across the entire lake side of the house was amazing. It was so peaceful sitting out there listening to the loons. Close to great restaurants in Center Harbor, Meredith and Moultonborough. We highly recommend this property.
