I wont stay here again

We were in town for a track meet and had to bring our dog with us, so this was our only option. The hotel is obviously old and thats understandable but rhe cleanliness was substandard. I wanted to set my clothes on the back of the toilet to change into after a shower and that was NOT an option. It was gritty and grimy. I also noticed something stuck on the frame of the mirror above the sink. The remote control was missing from the room but we later found it had fallen under the bed, against the wall and it was extremely sticky, definitely not something we wanted to use. The connection on the tv seemed to be poor, as there was a lot of static, when the cable fell out of the back of the tv, that mystery was solved. Walking down the hallway, there was an overall smell of just being unclean. For the trip, it was our only option, and i have unfortunately stayed in worse, but if I had not had my dog, I'd have definitely not stayed here.

Faulty fire alarm

Unfortunately this was not a very good experience. The room was okay, but the bathroom didn’t seem as clean as it should be. The windows were so bad that the curtains were literally blowing from the wind and it was freezing. Worst part was the fire alarms went off twice while we were sleeping, one time being at 3am. Both times took a minimum of 20 minutes before they were shut off. Possibly longer. The desk was “aware this keeps happening”. They should not have been allowed to book guests until the issue was fixed. It was incredibly frustrating, especially considering we had a big day the next day with a full day of driving. It was not safe to only have 3 hours of sleep.

Could have been better

Only a shade on our window, no curtains. We were on the ground floor, so headlights from cars in the parking lot made our room extremely bright. Fire alarm went off twice, once at 10 pm and once at 3 am (both false alarms, but very disruptive). Son is at student at CMU, so this location is great, but I will seek out a different hotel next time.

Couldn’t get the tv to work. Spent most of the day without internet service. No drapes in unit so people parking coming in and out were irritating. The telephone was not working and had two Faldo fire alarms.

The night clerk was very nice and helpful. The bed in room 219 leaves much to be desired. It slooped downward and toward the middle. The sink had a large crack in it. You should also provide rubber bath mats for handicapped guests. The clerk did provide us with additional towels to use as mats.
