The property was large and in fine shape. Great value as well. My husband and I loved the 2 mini split air conditioners, as a heat wave was present. The kitchen was very nice, since we like to get groceries and eat in some. Lina the host was wonderful at check-in and helpful. Don't forget to bring Euros for the local room tax! I did and had a heck of a time finding an ATM. Turns out it was at the lower ruins entrance.
Can't beat the hotel location and easy walk from the train station. We booked a tour to the top of Vesuvius and Pompeii ruins at the train station one morning. The local tours apparently buy all the good tickets, so apparently you have to use them. They were great though. Our minds were blown by the experience. I also got delicious pizza delivered from Uber Eats.
Oh, and catching the local train from Naples to Pompeii was tricky - we had difficulty finding the ticket agent, and then initially bought the wrong ticket because we could not communicate well. Ended up standing on the local train, which was fine. We rode the nicer express train back, standing room only again. Both trains were fine. Going by train from Naples to Rome, we could not get this couple to give us our seats. I googled to learn that people don't observe their assigned seating in 1st class there. That train was almost empty, so big deal.
In our travels through Europe, Pompeii was the only place where people stared at us like we were aliens from Mars. And we do try not to be ugly Americans.
