The hotel reception couldn't give us the room we had booked, but gave us a room without a mountain view without saying anything. When I pointed this out they said that the building with such rooms is undergoing renovations and is not ready yet. Yet the hotel had that option bookable! In other words, what wasn't there was for sale!
When I demanded the price difference back they said that it wasn't possible because the hotel had to first receive payment from "Hotels.com" in order to be able to pay back the price difference.
Besides they said that we had to move to another room than the one we had been given! We didn't get a good explanation why that would be necessary even though they were the same!
The hand shower in the bathroom didn't work and they couldn't give us another room with a working hand shower because it was the only room with a hand shower in the big hotel!
At check-out, they were also calculating the price difference in $US and exchanging it to Kwacha and so on even though we had paid in Swedish Krona!
