Room was expensive, small and with an encroaching sloped ceiling. Staff took my request for wakeup call (5am) and taxi (0550am). No wakeup, instead they rang at 0530am and said my taxi was waiting. So, fail. Bed was small but ok for comfort. Cleaning staff were helpful. Wouldn't return.

Pros: Location was incredible. Access to amazing restaurants, bars, laundry, grocery and the train system. Couldn’t have asked for better. The showers have great pressure and stay hot. I heard the breakfast was good, although very expensive. The cleaning staff were super nice and cleaned the rooms well during our stay. And most of the front staff was very helpful. Cons: They may not give you what you asked for. As we booked two junior suites with the lofts and only received one, and that’s AFTER being told we were “in the junior suites” then “they don’t have junior suites existing on the property” to “we can only get one of your rooms fixed now and can switch the other to the junior suite tomorrow” to “the second one is unavailable” and finally, them telling Expedia we were in the junior suites (a lie) as only 1 of our rooms was a junior suite. So please make sure they don’t gaslight you and try to convince you that your room is a junior suite (400+ sq feet), when it’s really a regular room. Final thoughts: Booking with Expedia is always an amazing experience. Because even in the face of an issue, they’re really good at making things right. I have proof of the room we were in, which was not the junior suite we paid for, but Expedia did right by finding resolution with me. I will always trust that Expedia will make sure to do the best they can when it comes to their customers.

So-so Mercure

You have to carry your luggage up half a flight of stairs to reach the elevator. Safe activated with a credit card. No insect net on window. Sauna is charged at 9 Euro per person! Quite impersonal.

Great Staff, Room and Breakfast!

The staff was great and the room was spacious, clean and provided coffee/tea/hot water kettle, which I always appreciate. I arrived at noon, and my room was available for me to check in early. Fabulous breakfast! The hotel is located near the city center, making it easy to spend time wandering, shopping and eating. The only thing that was troublesome was the incorrect information I received about the cost of the taxi/shuttle to the airport. I paid 50Euros rather than 15 Euros, and this was quite expensive for me. I would choose a hotel closer to the airport if I knew this beforehand.

Check-in was 2 hours late. They gave us the wrong room. When I tried to change the room, they said the room we booked wasn't available. The staff did help and provided an extra bed that we had to place on the floor, since we were supposed to have a pull-out couch.

Great hotel

Nice hotel, in a convenient spot for bars and restaurants. The room was very good, with a decent bathroom, lots of storage and a comfy bed. Did not use the restaurant on the evenings, but the breakfasts were very good. Will definitely use again.
