"Daddy O" is a 7 bedroom and 6 bath home located directly ocean front in Garden City Beach, SC. This home has 2 ocean front master bedrooms with covered porch access, a second sitting area and a private pool (heated 3/1-5/51 and 9/1-11/1 as long as the air temperature is at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit) plus a stand alone hot tub! With approximately 3,000 square feet, this home comfortably accommodates 18. For families who don't want to leave their four-legged family members behind, Daddy O is small dog friendly! Great place. Perfect for being able to be right on the beach. Not a lot of traffic on the beach this time of year so it was perfect. Great restaurants nearby. Shout out to Sarah J’s and Sam’s on the Corner.

The property is in a great location, being right on the beach. The layout of bedrooms and bathrooms is very nice for groups coming to visit. The old school arcade games were a nice surprise.

Excellent beachfront property with spectacular morning sunrise. Home does show some wear and tear from rentals with deterioration of kitchen cabinets, stove and Washer/Dryer. Overall though, a wonderful relaxing experience.

Overall house was great and as advertised. Great ocean location. Great porches. There was updated furniture in living area which was comfortable and clean. Arcade games were a nice bonus. Only opportunities that could be addressed were new porch furniture needed. Some broken and could be dangerous. Another fridge would be great. Laundry appliances are in desperate need of replacing. We weathered a tropical storm during our stay and there a a few leaks around main sliding door and one through a ceiling fan which we reported to dunes. If the appliances and porch furniture were updated this would really make the stay even better

Good beach house

Everything was pretty much as advertised. The house could have been cleaner upon arrival though. The floors were not very well swept and there were some pieces of trash here and there. Direct access to the beach was awesome. The dryer stopped working while we there there, but management coordinated repair within a couple days. They had to wait on a part to come in. Beach bundle linen service was ok. The quality of towels and sheets was low, so if you want really nice linens I would bring your own. Also it doesn't appear that the top comforters on bed get washed. Communication with management and check in were very smooth, and we loved the big porches. Also the upstairs layout is very nice and comfortable. The two king suites are super nice with views and balcony access. I would recommend this house.

Family trip

We had a wonderful visit at this property. Perfect as grandparents, parents and grandchildren. Worked great during Covid times as had all our own family spaces and would be great any time. Couple of surprises with a high chair, arcade games, games and puzzles. Our little guys were thrilled. So easy to keep entertained with the beach and all the room in the house. Absolutely beautiful. Only small negatives were a couple of more minor cleaning issues that were brought to the mgmt. and miscommunication with the linens (didn’t know they were left outdoors in bins at the foot of the stairs). We would absolutely return to this terrific home and would certainly recommend Dunes Realty as well. They were very responsive throughout the entire process. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Perfect beach in your backyard!

We absolutely loved our stay at Daddy-O. Lots of space for everyone with the softest sand and gorgeous ocean right off the back porch. Easiest walk to the beach I’ve ever experienced. The house was very nice. I especially liked how the sound didn’t carry once your door was shut so the night owls won’t keep you up. The refrigerator is much larger than the pictures made it seem. Plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking daily for our big group. My only complaints: 1. Ice maker did not produce much ice and would never have been enough for that many people. We brought several coolers and bought ice daily from the store. 2. A few broken chairs inside and out that could be dangerous if not repaired. 3. A couple of the mattresses have seen better days and created a “taco-like” sleeping experience. Otherwise, it was pretty much perfect and exactly what we needed for our pandemic escape! Thank you so much for having us!
