It was an okay experience. Rooms were small and so was the pool it seem to be full with 10+ people our entire trip. Parking was limited as well. Wouldn’t recommend for a family. Hotel seemed to be geared around pet friendliness, would have like to have known this is a highly pet friendly motel as there were a lot of dogs there. Long walk to the room as well 4th floor elevator in the back of the hotel every time we came in and out of the pool. Also had to cross busy Hwy with kids. Not ideal and wouldn’t stay there again. Staff was very friendly.

We've stayed here before and had similar great experience. Beds at La Quinta are always amazing, closed to the beach, Broadway at the Beach, and Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse. Quiet, clean. Just what you need.

Overpriced, Unsafe, and Unclean – Avoid This Hotel

I had a very disappointing experience during my recent stay. The parking lot was broken and poorly maintained, which immediately set the tone. The hotel itself was not clean, and the room was in unacceptable condition — it lacked basic essentials like blankets. When I called the front desk, I was told they might bring one over if any were left, as if I was being done a favor for a basic necessity. The room cleanliness was so poor that I genuinely felt uncomfortable and worried about the potential presence of pests. The bathroom had no shampoo, conditioner, body wash, or lotion — amenities that should be standard at this price point. Additionally, the property felt unsafe, especially for a family stay. There were suspicious individuals loitering in the parking lot, which made us feel uneasy and on edge. Overall, this hotel is severely overpriced for what it offers. I expected a basic, clean, and safe environment, and unfortunately, none of those expectations were met. Wish I had some photos to share.

Coffee maker was crap. The plastic basket for the coffee itself would not stay in place. I had to physically hold it in place while the coffee brewed. Electrical outlets are inconveniently located… and there were no USB outlets in the room. Let’s talk Wi-Fi: This alone will be a future determination factor when I plan my next Myrtle Beach visit. I honestly had faster internet speed on dial-up connections in the 1990’s. It was a joke! There needs to be built-in USB outlets.

Waste of money

The bathroom was not that clean. The towels were so thin you couldn’t get dry, there was only one tiny bar of soap in the bathroom. We learned more from the staff member checking in the person checking in next to us than the staff member checking us in. Instead of being so adamant about being a non smoking hotel and making you sign paperwork to that fact, maybe the staff should advise the guests not to hold loud conversations between the hours of midnight to 6AM. The free breakfast was a joke. I’ll never stay at a La Quinta again!!
