The room was clean. Some of the bathroom fixtures needed repair. Pros…quiet room, comfy bed. Cons…postage stamp size room with no storage area, no hooks or racks to hang things in the bathroom. Dark lighting in bathroom. Have trouble getting the room cool enough.

The hotel was lovely overall. The staff were more than helpful and super polite. We had an issue with a smell of damp when we arrived and it was tended to quickly but the smell was still noticeable for the duration of the stay. There was also a very strong draft coming from the window (which we checked a couple times to make sure was shut properly) making the room very cold, especially at night.

I recently stayed at the Arlo Midtown and unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype or the price tag. While the service was friendly enough on the surface, several issues detracted significantly from the experience. First, the room itself was incredibly small, making the stay feel cramped. More concerningly, the refrigerator in the room did not work. We also ran into issues with housekeeping; Saturday afternoon, we returned to our room around 3:45pm after a long day out in the city only to find the room actively being cleaned. We had to wait in the hallway for over 20 minutes for them to finish. I was also given some misinformation by staff during check in, and felt I received limited proactive information overall. The problems extended to other services as well. The valet parking we paid a premium for turned out to be questionable at best. As we were out walking the city, we discovered our vehicle was parked multiple city blocks away from the hotel on an unmonitored street, rather than in a secure lot or garage as expected. On the weekend mornings, the staff at the hotel's on-site Bodega were notably unfriendly, and the wait time for simple items like coffee was excessively long. Ultimately, the high price point for the room and amenities was not justified by the quality of the stay. I would not recommend the Arlo Midtown and suggest looking for better value elsewhere in the city.

The rooms are extremely small if you bring more than a carry-on, you will not fit. They don’t have a coffee maker in the room. They don’t have a closet. The air conditioning did not work. The bathroom is dirty. The only good thing is the lobby.
