Just around the corner from Penn Station and MSG. I just wish they had a staff elevator because there are times during the day that the staff rules the elevators. Once you figure out those times, no complaints.

I have stayed at multiple Hiltons but one at Chelsea had the worst service. They took the money from my credit card, gave us a full size bed when we had booked a king and they blamed Expedia for it.

So pleased we booked a room with a view of the Empire State building, it was the highlight. Room/hotel itself is rather tired, would certainly benefit from some updating. Air con very noisy, sounded like we were on a plane.... but appreciated being cool! Room had odd smell which we concluded was the cleaning products. Had to request towels each day, we booked for 4 people but only given 2. Room very small (but expected for NY) was jam packed once we had our luggage in there. Found staff unfriendly, but found that nearly everywhere in NY. Overall it was okay.

I work for a Five Diamond Hotel and have worked at Luxury Properties all over North American and I would put this staff up against any of my best colleagues. I am not usually picky about what hotel I stay at in New York as long as it’s clean, when one from my brand isn’t available. But with this staff and the value, you are now my hotel of choice.

This is NOT reserve now, pay later

My only gripe was that it was advertised as book now and pay at desk. Then they charged me immediately for the full price as a “deposit.” That would be fine but call it what it is - I had chosen the hotel for that flexibility in paying. As is often the case, hotels.com blames it on hotel and vice versa and nothing gets resolved. Great, friendly staff otherwise.

I truly awful. I really disliked this hotel. The view from the room was of garbage cans. There’s a shortage of elevators so every time was a long wait. The rooms are small and dreary.
