Staff were very helpful and friendly, room itself was spacious. More attention definitly needs to be paid to the cleanliness of the room, runner on the bed had stains, between the wall and shower screen needed a good clean! Smell from drains very strong in the room

The staff are really helpful. We had a probkem with the heating in our room without any fuss we were hiven another room. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. I opted for the continental breakfast which was good but I did think it was a bit expensive. The same price as the Full English @ £13.95!

Room walls are VERY thin and the waste pipes mush have been built into the inside dividing wall . Constant flushing and running water All Night. Also we had a family in the next room with very small children . We could hear every word spoken and every cry . Most of the night. To top it all we were above the door that led to the rear exit. Everyone that smoked stood outside and the smoke constantly drifted up into our room. Not a pleasant stay at all. We were due to stay 2 nights but packed up very early next day and moved on

I was originally booked into a room in the building across the road - but on arrival, I was given an upgrade to a very nice double ensuite room in the main hotel. Some online reviews said it was noisy because there are a lot of bars nearby - but I didn't find it noisy at all. The staff are very kind and friendly. The romm was clean and comfortable. There is no lift - which may be a consideration for some. It has free parking behind the hotel - which, for me, was a big plus as parking around Newcastle is difficult to find and rather expensive. If you don't use a car, West Jesmond Metro Station is a few minutes walk away.

Overall. Neat tidy rooms. However needing a lot of TLC. Can feel the springs in the bed, evidently hasn’t been dusted in a while , sink hanging off the wall in the bathroom, shower was very poor , no toilet paper or facial tissues. Room fridge lukewarm. Telephone did not work either. Towels were stained and had an unpleasant damp smell.
Rooms seem well worn and not maintained.
