Had a lovely one night stay at Hedgefield House. It was very quiet and peaceful and was just what i was looking for, for a good night's sleep. They don't have breakfast available but that suited me as i only wanted to sleep there. The owner was very warm and welcoming and his cat Lilly was extremely friendly in the foyer which was another reason to go back! đ»
The room and bathroom were very nice and clean although the room was quite cold in the evening but nice and warm in the morning, and the bed felt extra cold taking ages to get warm. The bath towels were a bit on the small side and quite discoloured. Lovely building. Didnât use the grounds.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Millie, the friendly house cat. David was very welcoming, and the house & grounds were beautiful. The room and bathroom were both spotless, I've never been to a cleaner hotel. Everything you could need was provided, and we had a quiet sleep. If you have dry skin issues (dermatitis, eczema etc.) like myself, you might wish to bring your own toiletries as the ones provided were quite drying.
I had a lovely stay at Hedgefield house hotel, it was perfect for what I wanted the room for. Yes, my bathroom was 7ft walk opposite my room door, but this didnât phase me, it was still my private bathroom. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is outstanding. A beautiful room and stunning bathroom. A great experience.
They don't do food but don't let that put you off - there is a great restaurant next door.
David, the owner could not have been more helpful both before arrival with his directions and during our stay, with his conversation and information..
Loved the nature of the objects on display: eclectic but fascinating.
No eating facilities o site but there is a restaurant some 5 minutes up the road.
Hopefully we will return in the future
