Tranquil Retreat with Gorgeous near 360-degree Mountain Views!

Private home backing up to an arroyo provides views of 8 mountain ranges- including the Santa Rita, Patagonia, and Huachuca. Enjoy relaxing on the large custom-crafted flagstone patio while you grill and watch the beautiful sunsets behind the Tumacaroris reflecting off Mount Wrightson to the East. As the sun goes down, enjoy the sight of the sacred mountain Baboquivari falling into shadow. The lack of ambient light at night allows for incredible star-gazing, and the solitude provides great opportunities for contemplation and relaxing.

The interior of the house is simple and designed to maintain the stillness you experience outside. High-speed internet is provided. There is a large open layout, and the dining room has a door out to the patio. The kitchen is equipped with all that you need to create delicious meals, and there is adequate dinnerware to serve meals for groups of 8 on the solid walnut dining table. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, antique furniture, walk-in closet and a private bath. There is a queen bed with an antique dresser and a modern nightstand in one of the bedrooms. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds with a modern dresser. The two bathrooms have tubs.

Located near Rio Rico, it is 20 minutes from Tubac, 15 minutes from Tumacacori National Historical Park and 45 minutes from Patagonia State Park/Sonoita State Creek National area, providing excellent opportunities for birding. Madera Canyon, one of the largest Madrean Sky Islands and home to 256 species of birds, is also close by. My car is in storage under the carport so only foot traffic and sitting in carport area, no place under carport for another car, sorry.

Stayed here for 3 days. Well stocked and location is great. Not far from hiking trail and freeway. Scenery was beautiful. Communicated with owner a couple of times and he is very responsive. Would stay again.

Desert Sanctuary

Beautiful views from this lovely home. Gorgeous patio. It’s a short drive to town. Grab a few groceries in town and nestle in to this great home. Comfortable beds, good overall layout. We’ll definitely stay again!

The house is clean and comfortable and has everything needed for a family to enjoy their stay. The property is beautiful and the views are amazing, especially the sunsets. It was fun to watch the wildlife and be visited by the local cows at dusk. great for stargazing. Very quiet and private. Close to Tubac with great shopping and restaurants.

Great place in the desert

We rented this property over the Christmas holidays for a family vacation. It's in a great location for exploring the surrounding landscape and communities, hiking, and doing many outdoor activities. The house is nothing fancy but it has everything you need, is spacious, and is surrounded by desert with amazing views, sunsets, wildlife (ie. resident roadrunner who sleeps in the carport at night), and great walking right out the front door. It's very peaceful. Tim was an incredibly kind and accommodating host and easy to communicate with. I would certainly stay here again!

Listing failed to disclose the lack of use of the carport. Owners car parked in carport. We wouldn't have made the reservation if it had been disclosed that the carport could not be used. Sandstone patio was lovely as was the view from the patio into the GREENSPACE.

Newer nicely located house. Floor plan was a little ackward. Medium quality construction. needed some TLC on the matenence, Drain in main bath backed up and had to clean hair out with wire, several of the lights had bulbs that were out. Just little things that would improve the experience.

Beautiful Views - Comfortable Stay

The sunsets from the backyard are like nothing we had ever seen before, absolutely breathtaking. Star gazing was also fantastic. The house is quite. The kitchen is nice. The beds are extremely comfortable. The TV entertainment and wi-fi were easy to use. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely will stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

Everything you could want

The property was very nice and the location, while somewhat remote, was great for being outside and enjoying the views. This accommodation worked out just fine for us while making a covid-19 visit to our friends in Green Valley and walking along the Anza Trail. Quite close to the best place to eat, Wisdom's and Wisdom's Dos. However, there was a fair amount of food left in the cupboards and fridge, the lights were not bright and while basically clean it seemed the place had not been thoroughly washed down for a while. The owner was very responsive and very helpful and responded to inquiries rapidly. We felt safe and comfortable and would not hesitate to return should the need/desire arise.
