4/10 Poor

As regular guests who stay at the Lodge on the Desert whenever we visit family in Tucson, we are incredibly disappointed to see the property progressively declining. Our recent multi-night stay highlighted some serious service and maintenance issues.
Upon arrival, our room was only supplied with two washcloths. When I tried to call housekeeping, the in-room phone housekeeping feature was non-operational. I walked to the front desk to politely request more, only to be met with attitude. The agent balked at the request and actually lectured me on why I should reuse dirty washcloths for the remainder of our stay.
The lack of upkeep across the property was also highly noticeable. The pool area—especially around the hot tub—was filthy, lobby trash cans were overflowing, and the exterior staircase leading to our room was so badly damaged it felt structurally unsafe to walk on. To top it off, the buffet breakfast is no longer included in the stay.
It’s disheartening to see a place we used to rely on fall into such disrepair. We likely won't be returning.
