It was a cute motel. It was the exact wildwood vibe we wanted. It was clean and had a full length mirror. I wish it came with a hair dryer and iron though. It was in a good location too. Pool area was great
The motel is in a good, quiet location close to the beach. Had a nice small pool area as well, rooms were nice, a little outdated but we were only in the room to sleep so does not really matter.
Perfect weekend stay. Close to beach, reasonably priced, clean and comfy. Clean and comfy are my top two so it totally did the job. Very old decor as expected in motel in north wildwood but I think it adds to the charm. Would definitely stay next year.
I love retro motels and this is a great one. My room had a bed and futon ..new AC.. I loved sitting area overlooking the pool. Very nice staff. Pool was clean and good temp. 1 block from beach. I enjoyed my stay. The only thing I missed was a small table or work station. Not many electrical outlets for multiple devices..you don't need that stuff anyway..you're on vacation ...
Room needs work especially bathroom fixtures which showed signs of corrosion. Needs more electric outlets. Lots of dust behind bedside table and small refrigerator.
Incredibly rude staff from the second we checked in. Kicked us out for "noise complaints" Yet none of our neighbors said anything to us & no one from the motel staff gave us a warning. Just kicked us out at 10 am. The rooms are a joke. Dirty beds with a moldy smell to it. Outdated as well, small Zenith TV set & no wifi!!! How could a motel in 2017 not offer wifi?! So overpriced for what a disgusting place it is. $250 a night to sleep in a dirty, smelly sweatbox? No thanks. Never again!!
While the owners were VERY NICE and Social, the room we had needed a LOT of updating and could have been a lot cleaner. We also had "ant" issues in the bathroom. The owners were great, but we wouldn't go back. Shame because the location is great.
Great location and very friendly staff. My wife and I decided to spend one extra day at the beach and found this place for a Monday night. Room was adequate for price, but we were on the beach most of the time anyway. Pool was a great relief after a run. Check in was easy. Only complain was the air condition was a little loud in the room, but I could sleep through it. Would stay here again.
The hotel is ok. small, and dated. The beds were very uncomfortable, and small. A family of 4 was difficult in the room. It is a classic motel from the old days, and they do a nice job with what they have, but it could use a little updating. ( TV's, bathroom fixtures, etc)
Okay, so this is way up on 5th Avenue in North Wildwood, so it is a WALK to the boardwalk area, but you get a much less busy (and substantially smaller) beach area nearby. Couldn't get a WiFi signal in room 108. Bed was very hard, which I prefer, but beware. No counter/desk to set up a laptop. Pool was kinda filled with bugs and such; maybe run the filter during the day? But the number one thing about this place? You. Could. Smoke. In. The. Room! Only hotel in the Wildwoods that I've found that allows smoking in rooms, and it was great to see someone still respect our rights. Will definitely stay again.
One of the owners who cleans rooms (female with blonde color hair) could be a lot friendlier. This was my second time staying at the hotel and I experienced her unfriendly attitude. Mature women who works in office is very nice and sociable.
This hotel is no frills as it gets. We needed a place to shower from being on the beach and then spend the night. And it served its purpose for that. Residual sand in room but otherwise clean. Staff was pleasant. And it was quiet at night. If I was staying more than one night, especially with a family of four, i would have found a more updated place.
Well from a long ride, I check in and usually use the
bathroom first and The FIRST thing I saw was the bathroom tile needed fixing and oh
the dead bug carcus in the door jam I had to remove or fear it would fall on me everytime I went
to the bathroom. So right there I couldnt see what kind it was so I was trying to be ok with it.
Then the next day another bug in the cabinet door jam of the kitchenet. this one looked like a roach.
So besides the bug bodies, I saw no live action but the maid could have cleaned them up.
So lets talk about the bed !! OMG it was like sleeping on cardboard and the bedspread was so ichy!!!!!!
these people make sooooo much money off these rooms, I paid alot for 2 nights and was sceeved out and went home with a backache!!!!! NEVER AGAIN.
