Will never stay there again!

The room was fine except the service is in need of real improvement. When I checked in, it seemed like I was bothering the check-in the staff. No welcome no smile no forthcoming word formation. Just handed my card and that’s it. When my stay was over, I had realized I had lost my EarPods in the room and I had called for help at the hotel and they responded like I was bothering them again. No help no nothing. Staff even seemed irritated that I called. So now I’ve lost my AirPods. This reallly can’t be that difficult to be nice and helpful.

I got there late at night. And their internet was down. They would not let us in the hotel and told us we had to wait for like an hour. Even though we showed him our reservations they wouldn't let us in a room.

It's old and unkept, very large property, perhaps not much staff to keep up with. It's good for one night, but not for more than that. We had no deadbolt lock on our door and the bathroom sink didn't drain quickly. The bed was clean.

Made reservation online, we needed a place to park with at least a security camera and he was not interested in helping in any way. AND... Once you make a reservation at this poorly ran hotel you will NOT be getting a refund, this money grabbing establishment does not give refunds for any reason. Very inconsiderate way to run a business.

The frontdesk was uncourteous and rude. Room carpet was disgustingly dirty and smelly. Their safedeposit box is not functioning while when we ask the frintdesk says “put your money in the bank and bring your jewelries with you” How rude and impolite….never coming back to this place nor will we never ever recommend anyone in staying here.

We were assigned a upper room that normally has a garage in the bottom floor, except ours had the ice vending machine. The room looked and smell dirty. There was a wet spot on the carpet.

Stay anywhere else, not here, at The Grand!

The Grand hotel used to be a really good hotel in Sunnyvale. However since New Management has taken over, things have significantly gone downhill! From no hard breakfasts, to unmaintained air conditioning units, to lights not working outdoors, to unfriendly and unhelpful nighttime staff. The Grand hotel has significantly subsided their service and care since New Management look over. Simple things as running the compound lights in the villa section or taking out the trash, or keeping the rooms tidy, isnt something that interests this hotel. Further, when bringing up any grievances to staff is met with rude, unapologetic staff, who are there not to provide any service instead talk back and make the whole issue even worse. The temperature in the lobby and common spaces in the main building is set to a staggering 79 degrees Fahrenheit, 26+ degrees Celsius! This causes the hallways to get muggy and the rooms to get misty and smell moldy. Up on further inspection of the AC system in the room, looks like they haven't changed the air filters in God knows when! There's a thick layer of dust and a smell that can only be recalled from some 3rd world country crap. The air conditioning unit in the room is extremely loud and goes in and out making a good night's sleep not possible! Without making this any longer than it needs to be, if you're looking for a hotel in Sunnyvale, the grand hotel should not be your first, second or 3rd choice. Even if it's all for that a lower price!

Unfriendly manager, room had old , deteriorating door to bath room. Coffee service in room was awful. Room needed to be swept. Breakfast service and room very good In general the experience was that of old motel in desperate need of new owners.

Appears we got charged $10 but still not sure what for? The toilet seat in the room was peeling in multiple places, the floors were old and gross. The breakfast was the best part of this stay and we also found a nice terrace in the back of the property with tables and chairs but really the room was gross. It cost way too much for the gross room. Felt duped b/c the photos did not match what they gave us. Stayed in CA 5 weeks and I would say this was the worst hotel of the stay and all the other hotels were in the same price range.
