The home is equipped with Internet. It is a rural setting, so it is not high-speed internet, but owner has used the internet for work with no trouble.

The house is located about 20 minutes from JMU, 9 minutes from Bridgewater College, and convenient to Natural Chimneys, Wild Oak Hiking Trail, North River Gorge Trail, Several Caverns, along with Bluestone Vineyard, and Farmers Markets.

The Colonial home has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, Open concept living/Kitchen space, along with attached two car garage. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, stainless appliances, refrigerator, oven, microwave, stove, and coffee maker. The kitchen is well stocked for any culinary appetite.

There is an outdoor patio and fire pit for delightful night activities, along with propane grill. Enjoy the heavenly views from the patio and witness the peaceful serenity of country living.

The master bedroom is on the main level of the home, features a king bed, spacious walk-in closet, and stunning En-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a tiled shower and soaking tub, along with double vanities. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms, one full bathroom, and a small living space. One of the bedrooms features a queen bed, the other features two twins. In the basement, there are two additional twin beds and a sofa. Each bedroom features a flat screen smart TV.

We DO NOT allow Early Check-ins and or Late Checkouts during the following time frames:
May-December. It's what we consider our "Busy Season" and therefor cannot accommodate such request during that time of year.

From January- April...if we can accommodate an early arrival or late check out, there is a $50 fee, for each. The Early Arrival time is 2pm and the Late Check out time is 12pm.
We, however, CANNOT confirm any early arrivals or late check outs until 2 days prior to your arrival. So please do not contact us until then.

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am!

Excellent stay at Solon Serenity!

My family and I loved everything about our weekend stay here celebrating my cousin's college graduation! The house was comfortable, the host accommodating and the outdoor space with mountain views couldn't be beat! Would definitely stay here again!

I chose this location because it was close to Natural Chimney State Park where the group of us were participating in a trail race. This house is beautiful just like the photos and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. The property is very clean and very well kept. I highly recommend it. The views of the mountains in the back yard were beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the cows and donkeys there as well.

Great gathering space for our family to celebrate college graduation. The home was beautiful and immaculate. The patio/yard was lovely space to relax under the trees and play yard games. Kitchen was stocked with all of the equipment we needed. The location was perfect for easy in and out to the college. Definitely would stay here again.

A Cozy Haven

Beautiful home on a beautiful property; we loved relaxing on the patio and by the firepit watching the fireflies and listening to the cows LOL !! The house was stocked with everything one could need or want, very spacious and comfortable. The setting was definitely serene - quiet and peaceful - thank you for a much needed getaway.

Lovely property

I rented this house for my family. Our son was getting married at a venue close by. We had an absolutely delightful time staying at this house, it was very well appointed and delightfully decorated. It had a lovely backyard that everyone enjoyed. I cannot say enough good things about the house, they were very attentive. If you choose to stay at this house, you will have a great trip.

Beautiful home!

We truly enjoyed our stay, the home is beautiful and just as pictured (actually better than the photos, more open and roomy than we realized). We booked the unit for our daughters wedding (the venue was 5 minutes away), so things were a bit crazy/hectic. But the home had everything we needed for the busy days. It was clean and without clutter. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful Home, lovely back yard with amazing views

We rented the home for 4 nights. We were in town for our daughter's graduation from JMU. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated and fully equipped with all your basic necessities. We enjoyed the private backyard, with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and especially enjoyed our evenings around the fire pit making S'mores. It was definitely one of the nicer homes we've rented.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Solon Serenity. We chose this VRBO for its close proximity to JMU so that the family would have a place to stay for graduation. It was a perfect choice! The property is only about 24 minutes away from JMU and it is an easy drive on the back roads. It was nice to not have to fight our way through downtown Harrisonburg traffic; we just zipped in from the west side. The house itself is beautiful with large spaces for gathering and eating. There is a nice backyard with beautiful views and a patio area that includes tables and chairs as well as a firepit. A neighbor has cows and donkeys that added to the ambiance. The house is in the country, and it was delightfully quiet at night with no neighbor noises. My family enjoyed being together, cooking meals together in the full kitchen (pots/pans/etc. provided), hanging out at the firepit, and celebrating our graduate together without stressing out over dinner reservations or hotel problems. One of the nicest weekends that we have had as a family. Would visit again and 100% recommend to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay for quick access to JMU/Harrisonburg or day trips to the mountains (we also went to Luray Caverns, which was awesome!).

Beautiful space with details

The property itself is in a beautiful country setting. The house is spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the furnishings were comfortable. The pictures do not tell the story of the house--We have VRBO'ed all over the world, and this is among our top three rentals. Excellent!

Beautiful, quiet weekend

Stayed here with my family for a long weekend. House is exceptionally clean and had everything we need. Kitchen well stocked. Basement was enjoyed by kids as separate space if their own. Views are beautiful and outdoor space quiet. Communication with host was easy and very responsive to our few questions. Would definitely stay again.

Quality Family Time

Our family spent the week between Christmas and New Years here. The house is gorgeous and very clean. Our two adult sons & daughter in law Were very comfortable in their own private spaces and the large kitchen allowed the whole family to help with meal prep. It was a relaxed week & we would definitely stay here again! Gorgeous countryside, quiet, peaceful and just perfect for quality family time.

Beautiful Setting and House

This was our first time doing VRBO..and WOW this house was amazing. We were attending JMU December graduation in Harrisonburg and the location was about 25 minutes from the university. We had a group of 7 and the house was more than adequate with a large open concept and sleeping for 8. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. The views from the rear of the house were beautiful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, inviting environment.
