On the 3rd of our 5-night stay, we woke at 3:30 AM in confusion and shock: Water was pouring from the ceiling in several places - not dripping, but small, steady streams. The room has no phone, so I had to run down to the helpful Delina at the front desk. When someone finally came up to the room, she had to use towels, buckets, even a coffee pot to catch the deluge. Long story short: we packed hurriedly, switched rooms, struggled to get back to sleep.
The leakage isn’t what bothered us (accidents happen, after all). It’s the cavalier dismissal and poor service afterward: The manager will only be in on Monday (it was Saturday night) and on Monday morning we were told the manager will only be in around noon. We left a message - but never heard back. Not an apology, not even as much as a complimentary beverage as a gesture.
You pay a hotel for security and a good night’s sleep. That’s the contract of service. We did not get that. You call this service and hospitality? We will never stay here again. You should think twice about it too.
