Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were able to check in early, which was much appreciated after a long flight from the US.

Excellent hotel, great area, wonderful caring staff who helped us out when the next portion of our trip, an Arctic cruise, was cancelled and we had to make arrangements to return home early. They made a disappointing, stressful situation easier. Will hopefully return again!

Hotel Continental is a beautiful, welcoming, charming place to stay in the middle of Oslo. We stayed there for a total of 3 nights and when I come back to Oslo, it’s where I will stay.
Hotels in Oslo start at C$89 per night. Prices and availability subject to change. Additional terms may apply.
Norway's capital city, Oslo, is located at the end of the Oslofjord, one of the country's famously stunning waterways. Oslo is not only a great base from which to explore the nearby fjords, but its 1,000-year-old history gives the city a wealth of charm for visitors. Reserve one of the top-quality hotels in Oslo in advance, so you can concentrate on deciding what to do when you arrive.
Many of the city's best attractions are located around Oslo Harbor, which is a beautiful sight with its views of the marina and the stunning Oslofjord. The iceberg-shaped Opera House is a wonderful sloped building, with a roof you can climb onto when the weather permits—and of course you can take in a performance of the national opera or ballet. The city abounds with museums, as well. Check out the Viking Ship Museum, which contains genuine Viking ships and other artifacts, or the Munch Museum, which displays the works of painter Edward Munch, including his world-famous "The Scream." There is a great subway system, so getting around is easy, and most Oslo hotels are within walking distance of a subway station.
The local specialty is lutefisk, dried fish treated with lye, and it's something of an acquired taste. There are plenty of seafood options, and the best place to find them is along the waterfront on Aker Brygge. There are also bars and restaurants around Stortingsgata that are a little easier on the wallet. Most of the cheap hotels in Oslo can be found in and around this area too.
