Unpleasant reception staff, no smiles, no welcome, no assistance - especially by trainee front staff (no name tags). Extremely noisy due to construction inside and outside hotel beyond the hours that were stated. Insufficient prior notice given by hotel regarding noise to make any refundable changes for a family booking during the busiest travel season. Area outside hotel is inaccessible to vehicles due to construction equipment and requires guests to walk past homeless people and/or drug users.

Spacious, clean and quiet room and very helpful service at the front desk. Not much nearby except a mall and the train station. However, the hotel is a short Uber ride from the waterfront. The hotel restaurant is quite good--tasty food, terrific service, and a magnificent view of the city.

Our 2nd stay and generally very happy. Negative is the lack of staff at check in - only 3 staff one of them was dealing with an issue so 2 staff with a long queue at prime time. Also, not advised about the Terrace cocktail bar being closed when it's previously been opened over the weekend.

Property is renovating or repairing extensively some of the floors. There is a new building large construction site right across the street. It was extremely noisy in the AM, wish i could upload the sound (concrete breaking or wall demolition)! The rooms we had and hallways were dirty and smelled funny. In one of our rooms the water diverter knob wouldn't turn from shower to tub faucet. We ended up with 2 rooms instead of a suite, because the hotel wouldn't put a roll on bed in the suite we booked as we asked them. We had to move out to a different hotel due to these. The hotel was also unapologetic, they just said "construction is going on until 4PM every day". Just as we were leaving with our bags, the hotel's main entry door was broken too. Also they didn't refund us anything. Avoid if at all possible!

Good location but lacked personal touch

Good location - hotel is central and easy to get to from the airport train. Check in was fine but nothing special and we weren't given any hints or tips on where to go or asked about our stay - very perfunctory. We had upgraded to a premium room with a fjord view - not sure what the other rooms are like here, but based on other hotel stays our room didn't feel very premium. Room lacked storage, front of the sink area worktop was cracked. Fjord view was off to the side and you had to be standing at the window to see it. Breakfast was always really busy, no matter when we went down. Wide range of choices though, and food was good. The staff in the cocktail bar were unfriendly and unhelpful, we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. Our trip was for a special celebration and we did feel a bit let down. Last point I'd make is the hotel pumps what i assume is the signature scent in to the lobby area and it is very over powering.

It’s under renovation so there’s lots of noise until 4pm. The bathroom could have been cleaner (hair in the shower). The room functionality was off—the night stand lights didn’t turn off. You had to turn off all the power to get them off!

Great room and great staff, felt welcomed and our room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast varieties and convenient location. There’s some construction when we stayed there so some noise and untidiness around the area but that’s all. They also warn you about the noise from construction.
