Basically we received no room service without a phone call request from us. Not even clean towels or make the bed for 4 days. You would think $1,000 a day would give access to club level or something. Beautiful, but an extra 700 / night ought to deliver more!

Centrally located just outside of the Central train station and near the Opera House. Overall service was excellent, standard room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and incredible. Big shout out to Anita at the front desk for the help she provided us, hopefully the Clarion recognizes how important you are to their staff!

Great Hotel, Great location

We arrived on one of the wettest of days, walking down from the Bus Station. We were delighted by the palatial reception and swift, friendly check in. We had booked a compact room and we were delighted with its every convenience in a compact space. The decor was to our taste and the view amazing. The bed, though beautiful and so comfortable was pushed into a corner which meant that we were climbing over each other for nocturnal bathroom breaks. However, we asked for an upgrade the following morning and were relieved to be moved to a much bigger room at such a small price. It worked out to about £10 per night. The extensive buffet breakfast has something for everyone. You can have omelettes and your choice of eggs cooked for you. There are a number of coffee machines serving different types of coffee plus a barista creating something to your specification. The location is perfect! The train and bust station are on the same street and bus, train and tram stops are just outside. Download the Ruter app to buy tickets. We found that the main attractions were easily walkable and were a couple of old crocs with ought a decent knee between us! Oslo City is a huge Shopping Center opposite the hotel which contains a supermarket, pharmacy and state run off-license. There is a food court too; the area is rich in restaurants and takeaways. We really enjoyed the salad bars which appeared ubiquitous. I picked up a salad each day and he had a sandwich.

The rooms do not have air-con, they have “central air” we were told. It was so hot in the room. We’d messaged to get early check-in & an upgrade but when we arrived were told it wasn’t ready. They did manage to find us a room but annoying to be fobbed off when we’d messaged ahead & were willing to pay. Supremely good location, super comfy sofas opposite reception, breakfast is huge, busy, but you’ll find everything there.

The hotel was in a good location- close to the opera house and central station and walkable to all key areas. The biggest issue we had was the small size of standard rooms (2 people and had a hard time opening up our suitcases) and the lack of air conditoning. The rooms were very hot so I wud not book in warm months

No air con and a very noisy heating system the room vibrates when the lifts go up and down. Breakfast is fantastic room was clean great location. food in hub bar great. staff were welcoming and efficient.

Very smart hotel with excellent facilities and within easy walking distance of all the attractions I wanted. Over the road from Oslo station makes the train journey from the airport so quick, easy and comfortable. Thoroughly recommended.

Central Olso Modern Hotel

For the size of this hotel the Front Desk seemed understaffed at times. Our upgraded standard twin room and bathroom were very comfortable and of a good size decorated in great style as well as being quiet. I enjoyed the circular pool in the hotel, but it was small, only comfortable for a couple The elevator system required you to enter the floor you were going to from a central console on each floor…confusing. However, I guess it was efficient. The room included a mammoth breakfast buffet with a lovely spread of fruit, baked goods, cereals, yogurt fish and charcuterie. I had a lovely omelet made to order. The breakfast rom offered a lot of indoor and some outdoor seating with a view. The hotel provided an organized system for holding bags.
