Cute little hostel lookalike hotel. Great location and wonderful staff. The internet could work better, but we didn't need it that much. We didn't get their breakfast, but found cute spots near by. We had a great stay and will come back!

It was perfect! The beds were comfortable and it was exactly what I needed! I didn’t spend much time in the hotel so it worked out. The toilet is in a separate room and the shower is in a separate room and I never had any issues needing to use it when other people were using it. However, the shower did smell like mildew, but the rooms are great.

amazing stay, characteristic hotel in a great location where we walked to all the main attractions plus restaurants/bakeries. room was clean and comfy, no aircon wasnt a problem in 30° heat due to fan and staff were so friendly!! they let us keep our bags there after checkout for no additional charge too which was lovely!

Absolutely brilliant hotel! Clean, wonderfully decorated, delicious breakfast, PERFECT location (20 mins walk from the Louvre, the Seine and Sacre Coeur), but most importantly the staff were the best we have ever experienced at a hotel. They were super kind and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay pleasant. I read some reviews about noise, but the hotel was super quiet even though it was near a bustling street. The location is perfect for some really amazing restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets and pharmacies and tonnes of places to eat out. Special mention to Passage du Verdout, which is a minute away and has lovely vintage, toy and book shops and loads of nice restaurants if you continue onto the next two passages. I would highly recommend the Walled off Hotel, for the staff alone, felt like true 5 star service!

A brilliant, quirky hotel, for both Banksy fans (Banksy museum is literally next door) and anyone who does not care about luxury but is looking for a clean, no-nonsense, safe place to stay in Paris’s Montmartre area. I opted for a private bedroom with communal shower and toilet - there is a sink in the bedroom. Communal shower/toilet situation was totally doable and the hardworking cleaning staff seem to be cleaning constantly (thank you!). The reception staff were so accommodating and genuinely friendly. I plan to return to the Walled Off Hotel one day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It’s a great location and has some wonderful art definitely but if you’re looking for a nice place with any kind of luxurious feel this is not the place for you. It was great for us because we were looking at the art and of course enjoyed the museum next-door which does cost money to go into. It is definitely worth it.

Visited in mid-January. Clean and comfortable bed and small cozy room. Great location. Staff were courteous. Basic toiletries provided. No tea or coffee. Recommend closing the toilet seat while showering because there are no shower curtains. Bring shower shoes. There was a bar across the street from our room that makes a lot of noise until 6 am so bring earplugs. Room gets very warm so recommend opening the window.

Strange hotel, definite 'youth hostel' vibe in our dusty small room with a door to the bathroom that would not close. Worst part was this is part hotel / part 'Banksy' museum with exhibits in other bedrooms on the same floor as guest rooms. There are random people walking the guest floors, regularly trying to open doors to see if it's part of the exhibition or not! No good for safety or privacy. Very, very basic with minimal amenities in the room. No safe in room or reception didn't helpt with the public accessibility issue above. Positive aspects it was quiet (facing away from street) when not museum visiting hours, area around good for food and walking distance to Monmatre and central Paris. Buyers remorse - was similar price to more conventional hotels we wish we had picked.

Ups and downs, but good overall :)

We stayed here twice in October, on our train travels round France. The first time they messed up our booking and gave our "superior" room to someone else(!), leaving us with a smaller "standard" room. They offered us free entry to the Banksy museum as an apology but we didn't have time to do it, so a bit of a disappointment there. The bathroom also had a bad smell that first time. BUT the beds were comfortable, the Banksy theme was fun, the prices weren't too bad, the location was really handy for Gare du Nord, the staff were friendly and the ethos of the place seemed good. Our second visit was much better - they hadn't given our room away this time(!) and the bad bathroom smell was gone. Also, we had been a bit freaked out by the massive media hype about bedbugs in Paris, so were relieved to find this place was completely bedbug-free :) Which is probably true for most Paris hotels (the whole thing seems to be exaggerated really) but was still very much appreciated by us on this occasion...!
