The room was hot and very stuffy. I thought the A/C was broken, but was informed by the staff that A/c wasn’t allowed after Sept. 15??!! The hotel was nice, grand. The breakfast was very good and the food staff very friendly. The front desk staff were not outgoing like the rest of the staff. The hotel is a thirty minute walk to city center and the train station.

A beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff. Our room was lovely and quiet with a bathroom that fits my partner (6 feet tall- most showers here are too small!) Our terrace was nice but we could not use it due to our neighbors who smoked at all hours of the night and day. Parma had the most smoking of any city we visited so I would not book a terrace if you are not also a smoker. The hotel is truly a city hotel so the gym and garden are both small though well kept. We walked to all corners of the city without issue from here. Also had plenty of parking. Did not try the breakfast as it was 15 euro each. We got breakfast from a local cafe for 10 euro total for two people (2 coffees each and 1 sandwich and 3-4 pastries).

My favorite hotel the whole stay in Italy, beautiful, great location to the city center, wonderful staff and super cozy robes. The only thing was it didn’t get very cool in the rooms compared to other hotels we stayed in. But regardless I would still highly recommend!

Location was AWFUL. Would not walk outside the fenced in grounds of the hotel. This is a BAD neighborhood. Hotel was fine. Not 5 Star by any measure.

Luxurious stay

The hotel was exceptional, with high quality finishes, bed linen etc. Excellent breakfast. They kindly upgraded our room. Approx 10 -15 min walk into centre. Local area not great. Good secure parking inside grounds and underground. Nice grounds but be prepared with insect repellent. Could be utilised more and maybe add jacuzzi or similar. Would recommend.

This property is impressive. The building looks like an official building close to downtown Parma, within walkable distance of the old town. The hotel main hall is stunning, and extremely well kept, very clean, with amazing ceiling heights. The rooms are huge, old but stylish. The staff is helpful and efficient. We did not expect anything special, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were able to enjoy the city and all the good places within walkable distance. I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to enjoy Parma in a stylish place.

The hotel is terrific. The restaurant is excellent, and the staff is kind and ready to help. Two things make it a 6-star hotel: a swimming pool and a gym overlooking the beautiful garden.

Beautiful hotel but not convenient without a car

Checked in on a Sunday where most places are closed. The reception wasn't proactive in providing helpful info regarding places to go and see or places to eat. The hotel had a minimal menu which made it difficult for a solo traveller as all dishes were for sharing and I was forced to eat in my room as the dining room was not open on Sunday and did not have the option to eat in the lounge or in the garden. Their inclusive breakfast and dinner on my next day was definitely 5 stars. I had just booked a tour where I had to find my way to the pickup spot over 30 mins away to walk. I later find out that the hotel could have done the booking with pickup at the hotel. For a 5 star hotel, it would have been helpful if upon my booking, they would have reached out to tell me they could help with any tour bookings. Also a day or two prior to my arrival, an email with directions to the hotel whether driving or from the train station would have been helpful as there was no assistance available at the train station on which bus to take. When I provided this feedback to the receptionist upon arrival, she said I could have called which means I should incur long distance charges when this is information all the other hotels I stayed along my journey did and they were lower rated hotels but in my opinion provided the best experience. The service should match the opulence of the hotel.
