I arrived later in the evening, when I attempted to check in there was no one there. Staff from the pub kept coming and going saying “I don’t know where he is, and I can’t help you check in, sorry” tried calling, no answer. After about 12-15 minutes the front desk person, James, appeared. No rush, no apologies or explanation. “ID and credit card” he demanded in an annoyed tone. I obliged, just wanted to check in and go to sleep.
After signing and initialing I was told there would be a hold on my card for incidentals. I asked for a receipt as it is my company’s policy to collect a receipt for any charge on the card, temporary or not. James looked at me and said “why? It is a temporary hold and will be put back on after you check out”I explained jeans that it was my company’s policy and then even if she does go back on, I still need a receipt anytime it is used. Now he’s missing eye contact with me and he looks super annoyed and again he questions it “ but that makes no sense. It’s literally a temporary hold and we put it back on when you check out as long as the room is fine” I told James that I was not trying to be a pain in his behind that this is to avoid having a pain in my mind and that even though he doesn’t see the point it, it is still something that I need. He pushed the button and Presto I had the receipt.
The toilet in my room ran all night long. I tried to jiggle the handle, but I’m no plumber. Two of the pillowcases had stains on them. Need more than 1500 words.
