Farmhouse with swimming pool 2 km away from the sea

Casale Serenissima is located in Piombino’s countryside and is just 2 km away from the sea. It is the classical farmhouse of the former Ente Maremma, recognized for its architectural interest in the rural heritage of Piombino. Bought in 2013, it has undergone a profound, conservative restoration that started from the stabilization of the foundation to the replacement of the roof, using modern and energy saving products, which classifies it as energy class C. It features an LPG heating system. During the restoration, new windows were opened and the pre-existing ones were enlarged, which makes the house very luminous. The building is located in a large, fenced 2500-mÂČ garden with many trees, a well, and automatic irrigation. In the garden, there is also a small grove with selected oaks (oaks, cork oaks and holm oaks). On the property, there are over two hundred Mediterranean plants, including the myrtle. The property also includes a large 400-mÂČ travertine solarium with a 12x6-m swimming pool that features a salt system (without chlorine) and variable depth from 1.20 to 2.20 m. Easy access to the swimming pool is created with Roman stairs. The swimming pool is equipped with underwater lighting. In the house, the original and classical shape was modified by removing the external access staircase on the upper floor and by creating new windows. The architectural concept was inspired by a modern concept; it gave the building chromatic elements that exalt the classical structure inside the perspective of a rural house close to the sea. The annexe by the pool is inspired by the same concept (at the end of the summer, there will be an external kitchen with a pizza oven and barbecue), as well as the terraces and the large gazebo by the dining area in the solarium. The property's entrance is through an electric gate with access to the parking area with space for six cars. There are also gravel garden paths and a parking area. An interesting thing about the location is the vegetable garden (over 200 mÂČ). At guests' disposal, they can enjoy the fruits of the earth as they wish during their stay. In the house, on the ground floor (the old barn) there is a large, glazed window with sliding doors that opens onto the south side, (a wooden arbour protects the window), and lights up the living room, the dining area (with 4 m long table), and the lounge area that features a Serena stone fireplace. There is another relaxing area with a TV. On the ground floor, there is the kitchen that overlooks the vegetable garden with a built-in barbecue. It is fully equipped (refrigerator, dishwasher, kitchen with 5-ring cook top and electric oven). The dining table can accommodate six people. The room also features a cooking fireplace decorated with tiles. It has Rapolano travertine floors, and the original terracotta vaulted ceilings. On the ground floor, there is also a bathroom. On the first floor, there are four large, double bedrooms, one of which boasts two double beds. Two bedrooms feature a double bed and one has a double sofa bed. Each bedroom has two windows and two heaters. In the sleeping area, there are two full bathrooms. The house has oak wooden floors. Inside, we maintained the ancient, stone walls and, where it was possible, the stones were highlighted, treated, and left exposed with the aim to remember the ancient construction techniques. The windowsills are terracotta made with pieces recovered from the ancient floor discovered under the clay tiles that was put on top during the years. There are mosquito nets in all windows, and wooden shutters on the upper floor. Furthermore, on the ground floor, the windows and doors are protected by gratings. The house is 10 km away from Piombino, it is located in the Vignarca area in the flat countryside in front of the sea on the east coast. Guests' privacy and quietness are assured, but the house is not isolated. About 300 m away, in fact, there are others buildings, some are rural, others touristic. The sea is only 2 km away and is reachable also by bike. There are free and equipped beaches (there is also a dog beach) with many bars and restaurants amongst other services. Not to be missed is the Baratti Sea, famous for its archaeological mining area of Populonia. The farmhouse is near amenities. In Riotorto village, there are supermarkets and shops for everything you need. A few hundred metres away, the WWF oasis of Orti-Bottagone is located, which is a shelter for different bird species, such as the pink flamingos. WWF organises guided bird watching visits (also at night). Nearby, there is a skydiving school that arranges the "baptism of flying" the first flight, for adrenaline lovers. The house is in the centre of an area where there are many small villages. For food and wine lovers, there are the Suvereto routes, Campiglia Marittima, Massa Marittima, Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri. For nightlife, you can visit Follonica and San Vincenzo. For those who would like to discover the cultural part of the area, there are services offered by Parchi Val di Cornia SpA (see the website). At the end of your stay, you can visit Elba Island, which is reachable in 50 minutes by ferry from Piombino Harbour or you can rent a boat in the touristic harbour of Marina di Salivoli.

Magnifique séjour

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent sĂ©jour dans la propriĂ©tĂ© d’Alessandro et de Serena, nos charmants hĂŽtes. Tout Ă©tait parfait. Les espaces ont Ă©tĂ© rĂ©novĂ©s et amĂ©nagĂ©s avec beaucoup de goĂ»t et d’ñme. La maison est trĂšs bien situĂ©e et permet de belles dĂ©couvertes. Nous envisageons de revenir trĂšs vite.

Wir hatten das große GlĂŒck, dieses wunderbare Ferienhaus in Piombino fĂŒr zwei Wochen gemeinsam mit einer befreundeten Familie bewohnen zu dĂŒrfen – und es war schlichtweg traumhaft!Das Haus liegt in absoluter Alleinlage, umgeben von Natur, und bietet dadurch eine herrliche Ruhe und PrivatsphĂ€re. Es ist großzĂŒgig geschnitten und bietet mehr als genug Platz fĂŒr zwei Familien, ohne dass man sich gegenseitig auf die FĂŒĂŸe tritt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die liebevolle Gestaltung des Hauses: Jeder Raum ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – man fĂŒhlt sich sofort willkommen und zuhause.Der weitlĂ€ufige Außenbereich lĂ€dt zum Entspannen, Spielen und Genießen ein – egal ob beim FrĂŒhstĂŒck oder bei einem Glas Wein am Abend unter den Sternen. Die Kinder hatten jede Menge Platz zum Toben, wĂ€hrend wir Erwachsenen die entspannte AtmosphĂ€re genießen konnten.Hervorzuheben ist hier der wunderschöne Poolbereich. Neben einer Außendusche und einem schattigen Essbereich gibt es auch ein großes Poolhaus mit eigener KĂŒche und einem WC.Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen war der Wasserdruck in den Duschen, der etwas zu wĂŒnschen ĂŒbrig ließ. Aber angesichts der traumhaften Gesamterfahrung war das wirklich nur ein winziges Detail.Wir wĂŒrden jederzeit wiederkommen – ein absoluter Geheimtipp fĂŒr alle, die Erholung, Ruhe und großzĂŒgigen Raum in der Toskana suchen!

Das Haus, der Garten, der Pool sind super um schöne und erholsame Tage zu verbringen. Der Pizza-Ofen ist cool und was wir auch sehr genossen ist der GemĂŒsegarten, wo wir uns bedienen durften! Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Rund um wunderbare Ferien! Auch die Umgebung hat viel zu bieten.

Schönes Anwesen in der Toskana

Das Haus ist sehr schön. Die KĂŒche ist gut ausgestattet und das Salzwasserpool groß genug. Nach Piombino ist es nicht weit und eine ĂŒberfahrt nach Elba ist Empfehlenswert. Bei der Beschreibung sind aber anscheinend zwei Übersetzungsfehler drin. Die FahrrĂ€der und das Boot sind optional gegen Miete zu bekommen. Auch gibt es im Haupthaus nur 2 Badezimmer mit Dusche. Es gibt eine dritte Dusche am Pool. Das vierte Bad hat keine Dusche.

Unser Urlaub in Piombino

Tolles Haus mit super gepflegtem Garten. Die Nutzung der AussenkĂŒche war sehr praktisch. Pool und Aussendusche waren angenehm. Kontakt zum Vermieter ĂŒber e-mail sehr gut. Die strandnahe ruhige Lage ist perfekt. Die Nutzung des vorhanden GemĂŒsegartens ist ein Genuss. Die Sauberkeit im Haus in Bezug auf Spinnweben könnte noch optimiert werden. Matratzen in den Betten sind sehr bequem. Ein WC-SpĂŒlkasten/Wasserleitung im Bad ist sehr laut, wir nutzen dies WC Nachts deswegen nicht, um die Schlafenden nicht zu wecken. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und wĂŒrden auch gerne wieder kommen. Auch mit Hund perfekt!

It was a pleasure to stay a second time at this house. From the pool, the pool house, the pizza oven or the nicely decorated house we enjoyed every part of it.

Very relaxed holidays

We had wonderful three weeks in Piombino. The house was very clean, fully equipped with everything we needed and very tastefully furnished. The garden and the pool are a great place to spend time. The pizza oven and the kitchen in the pool house are additional highlight that made our stay even more comfortable. Thanks to Serena and Alessandro for always being accessible and responsive!

Highly recomendable

We (4 adults and 4 children) spent our summer vacation at this beautifuil facility. Everything was good and nothing missing. Some of our key highlights apart form the house: The big garden, the generous swimming pool, the pool kitchen, the outdoor pizza oven and and and, and last but not least the nice and friendly hosts. We can only recommend to go there. We also did a day trip to Elba by ferry boat which was very convenient. We may come back again ;-)

Perfect holidays for families

We were 4 adults and 4 kids (6, 5, 3 and 2 years old) spending 10 great days here and the pictures really don't tell the whole story. From the moment you enter the property through the gate you can see how well maintained everything is. A huge garden for the kids to play, with a pizza oven and grill, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and a vegetable garden for the adults. The pool is big and half of it is flat and the 6 and 5 year olds were able to stand there. The other part is deeper. Inside the house everything was clean and functioning. Living room area, a big dinner table and a fully equipped kitchen downstairs and 4 big rooms (with AC) and 2 bathrooms upstairs. Close to the house are the beaches (5min drive), grocery store in Riotorto (10min drive) and the bigger ones in Piombino (20min drive).

wonderful place

VERY nice house equipped with everything you need in an almost perfect position to visit the many different beaches and small villages along the etruscan coast. Awesome pool with poolhouse (enclosed kitchen and toilet). Great pizza-oven & BBQ! Owners very friendly & helpful.

Fantastisch!

Es kommt selten vor, aber hier ist es der Fall. Die Bilder sind viel schlechter als die RealitĂ€t. Das Haus ist innen einiges grösser, genauso wie der Garten und der Pool. Man bekommt durch die Bilder gar nicht wirklich mit, wie wunderschön alles ist. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Das persönliche Highlight fĂŒr uns war die grosse AussenkĂŒche und natĂŒrlich der Pizzaofen. Wie in anderen Bewertungen vor uns angegeben, geniesst man hier die Ruhe. Der Ausblick, auf das stillgelegte Kraftwerk, ist ĂŒberhaupt nicht störend, im Gegenteil. Es stehen auch FahrrĂ€der zur VerfĂŒgung mit denen man in 5 Minuten am Strand ist. Wir sind sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal hier gewesen. Grazie mille!

Das Haus: lĂ€sst keine WĂŒnsche offen. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet, detailreich, es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt (auch in der KĂŒche), sehr bequeme Betten, ein kleiner und ein sehr großer Esstisch fĂŒr viele Personen, zwei Badezimmer und ein WC. Man spĂŒrt und sieht die Liebe der Vermieter zu diesem Haus. Die Lage: ist inmitten der schönen Sonnenblumenfelder. Wie ein "Vorredner" bereits angemerkt hat, muss man öfter ins Auto steigen (oder man nutzt die vorhandenen FahrrĂ€der). Ich empfinde das allerdings nicht als Nachteil, da man im Voraus sieht, was man bucht. Wir haben uns bewusst dafĂŒr entschieden, da wir im Urlaub Ruhe wollten und diese bekommt man zu 100 %. Der traumhafte Sandstrand ist fast vor der HaustĂŒre. Der Garten: ist das eigentliche Juwel. Ein großes Gartenhaus mit voll ausgestatteter KĂŒche samt KĂŒhlschrank, separatem WC und Außendusche. Großer Pool mit angenehm leichten Salzwasser. Heißt fĂŒr die Kinder keine roten Augen vom Chlor. Viel Wiese zum Fußballspielen etc.... Ein eigener GemĂŒse- und KrĂ€utergarten, frische Tomaten, Zucchini, diverse KrĂ€uter. Ein großer Grill. Unser Highlight --> der Pizzaofen; den muss man ausprobieren, ein Wahnsinn! Lasst euch erklĂ€ren, wie er funktioniert, falls ihr das nicht wisst, es lohnt sich. Die Vermieter: Sehr nett, hilfsbereit, sofortige Reaktion als das Internet kurzzeitig ausfiel, offenherzig... FĂŒr mich sehr wichtig: man fĂŒhlt sich willkommen und als Gast geschĂ€tzt. Urlaub wie bei Freunden. Ein Kompliment fĂŒr dieses Paradies, es war nicht unser letzter Urlaub bei euch.

Schönes rustikales Haus mit Pool

Wir haben hier 2 tolle und ruihge Ferienwochen mit unseren 4 Kindern verbracht. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben (...), ruhig gelegen mit einem grossen Pool und umgeben von Sonnenblumenfeldern. Wir wurden von den Besitzern freundlich und mit einem kleinen PrĂ€sent empfangen. Bei Problemen konnten wir uns jederzeit melden. Wir konnten tĂ€glich vom GemĂŒsegarten profitieren ( Tomaten, Gurken, Zughetti, etc.) Auf dem grosszĂŒgigen eingezĂ€unten GrundstĂŒck konnten unsere Kinder sich austoben. Das Highlight der Ferien waren die selbstgemachten Pizza’s aus dem Pizzaofen... Tanti saluti e speriamo a presto

Tolles Ferienhaus mit super Pool

Wir haben unseren Sommerurlaub hier sehr genossen. Hervorzuheben ist der tolle Garten mit großem Pool, großem Esstisch und toller GartenkĂŒche. Insgesamt war die Ausstattung hervorragend. Auch die naheliegenden StrĂ€nde haben eine gute QualitĂ€t und es gibt fĂŒr Italien eher unĂŒblich recht lange, freie Strandabschnitte. Es gibt folgende kleine Nachteile: - Es liegt halt etwas ab vom Schuss, d.h.man muss alles mit dem Auto unternehmen.(DafĂŒr ist es aber ruhig) - Der Supermarkt in der NĂ€he ist nicht gerade gĂŒnstig - Man guckt vom Garten aus auf ein großes, aber stillgelegtes altes Kraftwerk Insgesamt wĂŒrden wir das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Die Besitzer sind nett und haben sehr schnell reagiert, als etwas kaputt war.
