This development is an oasis of tranquillity, situated in a stunning setting that offers spectacular views of the sea and the majestic surrounding mountains.

It is estimated that the main house of this development was built in the 19th century, around 1880, and was rebuilt in 1934. In the 1970s, the house was bought by Agostinha da Luz and three generations of this family have grown up there. It was in honour of this matriarch that Casas da Luz was named. Between 2020 and 2023, this space of memories and tradition, made up of the main house and annex buildings, underwent renovation and expansion work, with special care taken to preserve the various elements that characterise traditional Madeiran houses, including the stone walls and the wine press, where wine is still produced every year. Divided into three cosy units, each designed to provide maximum comfort and privacy: the Casa da Mãe, split over two floors, offers three spacious bedrooms; the Casa da Latada located on the upper floor consists of two bedrooms and the Cassa da Pedreira, located on the ground floor, has a large bedroom.

At Casa da Latada you'll find a fantastic two-bedroom apartment, remodelled and furnished with contemporary taste, while preserving the excellent materials from its origins.
The accommodation has a comfortable lounge and an open-plan kitchen. Outside, as well as enjoying the balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, you can also enjoy a private barbecue.

You'll be presented with an infinity pool, the perfect place to relax, cool off and enjoy a relaxing dip while taking in the breathtaking views that only Casas da Luz can offer!
