Property has good location. Unfortunately the bed linens were clean but very old. The uphostered chair was extremely stained. The rooms were no smoking, but had clearly been smoked in. Room 204 smells like urine. The staff took no action to movevrooms or deodorize. The room rate is out of balance with the room quality.

Very close to the ferry which we needed to catch early the next morning so that was convenient. The hotel served its purpose for what we needed but if coming to Port Angeles for other reasons, I would stay elsewhere due to the small space, spiderwebs in the corner, old furniture and lack of updates.

Nice room, rustic facade

A bit pricey, but understandable due to the location and season. The place is not attractive from the outside, but looks like an authentic mom and pop. Rooms have been redone and are pretty nice including crown molding and a nice bathroom with some quirks. Overall I was impressed and would stay there again.

This is a good basic, no frills motel, with friendly staff, great location and decent price in Port Angeles. Since we were mostly going to be out and about it worked as a place to crash.

It’s ok. I’m sure there are worse places.

Room was fine. It was clean enough. Ventilation was poor. Couldn’t close the door in the back because it depends on the ac from the main room. Not even a fan in there. And no lock on the door. Back bed was hard.

We’ve stayed at the Royal Victorian Motel many times over the years, when passing through to Olympic National Park or Victoria. While never fancy, it was always clean and reasonable. This time around however, the rate was not justifiable given the deteriorating conditions. $340 for one night, with a broken (clearly kicked in) bathroom door. Questionable stains on the walls and furniture, and an overall worn appearance. Check in was quick and the lady working was friendly and efficient. Check out the following morning, the front desk guy wouldn’t even unlock the reception door - not the best look. I thought the pricing was high due to the seasonal demand, but the motel didn’t seem full. All things considered, it’s time for us to move on to a higher rated lodging option when in town. It’s been a good run!

Check in service wasn’t the most friendly but a convenient little place and clean. Location was great for Hurricane Ridge access and check out Swain’s just down the street. Having an adult store next door wasn’t cool though.

A great place to lay your head

This is a good, clean and comfortable place to launch your adventures in Port Angeles and the Olympic National Park. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms with good hot and strong showers. Not a room to lounge in, but gives you a great place to lay your head for the night

Room was super dirty, a worst motel 6 would be better than this room & bathroom. Bathroom sink was clogged. Kids refused to enter the bathroom. Stay away from this motel.
