Disappointing Experience

Pros: That they had a free airport shuttle
Cons: A new management which is trained in the hotel business
Location: I was told not to walk in the streets. Not a good location to visit sites in Port-au-Prince
The hotel staff is totally untrained in the hotel business. You had to run after the restaurant staff to place a meal order. They never had enough change in the cash to give you the correct change. Exchanging $UD to gds I lost money. The air conditioning system was shut down at 7am in the morning. The hotel staff in the lobby had a big fan but there was none in the restaurant. At night, 3am, the hotel staff would have loud conversations in the hall and did not care that their guest wanted to sleep. Even though this was a new hotel, just 1 year old, many items were already broken, could not was my hands in the men's bathroom on the lobby for instance. Only had 1 shower with warm water and towels were not supplied, luck I had brought one with me. The staff entertained themselves without regards to their hotel guests and the owner was right there. The WIFI system was very unreliable as well.
