Breakfast was nice, they provided a good variety of items. The inn is situated so that the rooms all face the harbor, which was good for views. Pets are allowed on the first floor.
I was traveling with two very elderly parents for a special event. From a specific room request at booking to ALL the thoughtful, kind, and accommodating little things that the staff did to meet our needs and make our stay comfortable, the whole stay was wonderful. And the view of the port and bay is lovely. Thank you.
The staff was very friendly, the property and room was nice and clean, the only downside was the room was a little on the warm side for sleeping, and with us being seniors, the bed was not comfortable.
I didn't like that the people above us tromped around late and woke us up. Then they left at 5:30am and woke us - so I got three hours of sleep. The next night the same thing happened, and they said they couldn't move us because we booked through Expedia. (Staff did check with boss later, but we had to come back and we were already an hour away.) The drywall tape showed on the ceiling, so the building is just made for sounds to explode - not to mention the slamming doors. It is right on the Marina which is interesting, but really loud old cars parked there at all times. The second night I got 1 1/2 hours of sleep. It's just an old building that isn't built well. Otherwise, it might have been good.
The worst places we have stayed always seem to have the dirtiest sheets. Harborside kept the tradition alive. Pulled back the covers to unwind from a long drive and found someone had used the sheets as toilet paper. Called front desk they came up twice to fix the error. Then, started looking around the room. Bed bugs became an issue. Found none. But the walls and room had not been dusted in awhile. Cobwebs, a pound of dust on everything and a nice big spider. Never again.
