Property is quaint yet very outdated, one thing I can share about the Heater may save your day is take a closer look at the Left Knob! It has 1-10 numbers but they’re not what it seems. Apparently, 5-10 is Cooler and 1-5 is Warmer! Staff was nice place is clean, Breakfast is quick and appealing.

Misleading reviews and overall reting

WiFi was slow when it was working which is about 35% of the time. Cracked and broken floor tiles in front of the toilet, toilet paper dispenser falling off the wall. Appliances are from the 1950’s are paint is rusting and falling off. Cabinet shelf’s are missing mounts causing items to fall. Shower tiles are damn near falling off and had hair (not mine, I’m bald) in it. Included dishes were dirty.

Unique motel

Our room was comfortable and a convenient location for our weekend plans. Older motel in decent shape. No elevator to second floor, so stairs it is. Cold continental breakfast is offered, ice in the lobby behind the desk - need to ask for it. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The theme was unique but the staff were all friendly and its conveniently close to the main part of the area. The only real noise from the area is the occasional jets from the navy base and that noise is brief.

The property looks great from outside, the place has a nice old town feeling and rustic looks. Rooms are extremely tiny. Bathrooms are 100yrs old and very inconvenient, the heating does not reach the bathrooms. You have to first get the room, start heating, leave for an hour and then come back for a nice warm room. Plus most rooms are directly off the road and cannot sleep at night due to noise from outside. Never go there again.

I've stayed in better places...

The exterior of the hotel is extremely cute and the continental breakfast was good. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room appeared clean. My complaints are the condition of the room. It is very outdated with the wall paper peeling off all over. The heater doesn't have a temperature gauge so doesn't self regulate. I'd put the heater on then the room would get too hot so I'd have to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off. Then it would get freezing again so I'd get up and have to turn it back on. And this happened all night long for 3 nights. Also, we stayed Wednesday to Saturday. Wednesday and Thursday were quiet nights but Friday many more people checked in and they seemed very sketchy. They were up all night and it sounded like they were walking back and forth with heels on the hardwood floors, the bed on the other side was squeaking all night long and their toilet kept flushing over and over. I have no idea what was going on but I can imagine.... It was a long night!!
